Anyway while researching things for the Civ files (I'm doing this for my 7 yr old, he loves civ and he'll read the civ descriptions so I figured I'd sneak some history in on him
). Anyway while researching the Meiji Period The Japanese should have Cavalry around the same time as the Riflemen, dressed like the Riflemen ..or close anyway. Meiji and his Army is what put down the Samurai after all

japan wouldnt have been left behind if it wasnt for tokugawa ^ ^;; However we did modernize and become a superpower! which we still are -_- 2nd most powerful navy in the world today

This I find amusing: In most of the World, The US' Popular Culture and goods are dominating the market, but in the US, Japanese Popular Culture and goods are dominating many areas of the market(Cars, Video Games, etc)

japan is a world player, europe asia americas all watch anime and play japanese games, we make nintendo and playstation and sega there is only one other major game system in the world xbox. japans influeance isnt just america
