Well, actually, Aluminium just revamped these units the day you revived this thread, so in all likelihood, it would've been bumped anyway. But thanks for interest in my work at least.

I'm trying to build a mod with full flavor units ofr a few countries, including Japan and I love your units.

Anyway while researching things for the Civ files (I'm doing this for my 7 yr old, he loves civ and he'll read the civ descriptions so I figured I'd sneak some history in on him :mischief: ). Anyway while researching the Meiji Period The Japanese should have Cavalry around the same time as the Riflemen, dressed like the Riflemen ..or close anyway. Meiji and his Army is what put down the Samurai after all :)

"During the Meiji Period...Catching up on the military sector was, of course, a high priority for Japan in an era of European and American imperialism. Universal conscription was introduced, and a new army modelled after the Prussian force, and a navy after the British one were established."

Here's some Photos from the Russo-Jap war

This I find amusing: In most of the World, The US' Popular Culture and goods are dominating the market, but in the US, Japanese Popular Culture and goods are dominating many areas of the market(Cars, Video Games, etc)
