True it was subjective but that the best they could figure out anyway. Since u cried foul when coming to such a poll, whats ur best suggestion ? What u see about the corruption call on ur beloved politician ? How are u going to safeguard ur interest ? or the interest of ur citizens ?



Then may i ask how u think u going to gauge the transparency and to safe guard ur personal interest or of other ppl ? Do u have a better solution than that ? try telling a judge that u dont care. in fact the above statement just shows that ur a bigot no matter how much english classes u take. tsk tsk tsk.





Now, im not making an assumption but i at the very least brought some form of figures compile by a third party independence study group regarding ranking on corruption. but by not giving any evidence or alternative figure and then U "assume" that ur country is not corrupted and the figure is wrong is simply blind faith and blind nationalism. If u want to debate, try bring out some figures.

There has been more than enough corruption from both parties in your lifetime.

Its ok. I just wanted to present some fact to support the claim that USA has its own share of corruption seem by independence commenter. And not to mention that fact that its ranking is dropping by the years.

Think about it: people are going to want to bribe the party in power; if someone like Abramoff is buying the Capitol, he'll buy it from those in charge of it in the first place.

But honestly, no corruption from the Democratic Party? Clinton's real estate dealings? Abscam? I don't know how close to Bridgeport you are, but a mayor or two has been charged over there.

Is the USA corrupt? Well, there is corruption in the government, to be sure. That's just the nature of bureaucracy, though. Whether its corruption is beyond what could reasonably be expected, I'm not sure.

To answer the question-

A representative government lends itself to corruption, which is disappointing, to say the least. I don't know what the solution is, except to say that the situation could be worse, but it could be better. Is the USA corrupt? As a whole, certainly not, but there have always been and will continue to be government officials who use their positions for personal gain. They do not represent the majority of people in public service. All we can really hope to do is vote out the corrupt ones and hope that justice is served in the courts afterward.

Thanks, English is not my mother tongue hence i always got problem typing and communicate with it. Quite an embarrassment actually.

I never claim singapore was clean, the present GOV almost always try to play unfair in an election with mud slinging, controlled national media, gerrymandering, threatening with law suit which was appointed by its own judge but thats power corruption within its party and not till the point of accepting bribe or lobbying by groups.

As for ur definition of corruption, my gov is definitely guilty of the 1st type, but they did they job very very well.

I agree with Cheezy the Wiz, what does this have to do with topic? US is corrupt as everyone else, Portuguese are known to be one of the worse, but we destroy ourselves inside, US has all world eyes over them.
