In fairness he never gets away with his drunken rants. His plan to improve the viewing figures for womens football by making them play in lycra have, tragically, fallen by the wayside.

The English national team can suck pretty bad (I stopped to consider them among the elite of football) and the USA can play surprisingly well from time to time. I think the odds are almost even which a slight chance of England rocking it.

Given the options, I actually do really, really hope England manages to not choke. They should win by all measure, but they could choke. Watching England lose is oh-so-satisfying, but watching the US lose is much, much more enjoyable.
