v 25, Bugs/Crashes reporting thread

Error in EndPlayerTurn event handler <bound method Revolution, onEndPlayerTurn of <Revolution.Revolution instance at 0x16B61120>>
appears several times per turn in the event list, every turn.

When you get that sort of error, if you have logging on, there will be more detail in the PythonErr.log (not PythonErr2,log). please post it so I can follow it up. Dur to RL I did not get to look at these errors today like I intended so I will try tomorrow.

I detect some small errors:

The donkey resource have a watermellon icon in city list of resources
The Feather resource have a ambar icon
The wanderer and other units with a glow in head appears in small box at down left corner witha black square around the head.

this is what i detect until now!

Thank you for reminding me. The resource icons are way down on my list to fix but since they are not too hard now, I will try and fix them. No gaurentee, I may not have graphics for them.
 
So is there a workaround for all the rev errors and the domestic advisor?

I suppose you could ignore it, as I doubt it will cause any major problems, but it's not a route I want to take, and have been holding off for over 2 days now.

EDIT---plus, I want a stable version to add to my DVD-R before I finalize it (I zip all downloads to DVD since my internet sucks).

Turns out we don't have art for donkey or feathers. I have set donkey to horse for now. I need a 16x16 tga file of the graphics if anyone is up to it. ;)

I have reverted RevData,py and put a fix in Revolution.py to fix this problem.

Edit I am now getting your RevolutionInit missing message form BUG so I will need to look at the BUG logs to track it down since RevolutionInit.py does exist. I think I have a solution for the Domestic Advisor but I have lost the revWatch button completely. :( I am also getting a python error about music.
 
Getting several xml load failures with some civilizations (polynesia and some others, I missed a few of them when I launched the game) civ4gametxt.xml.

Also "buildingclass_nemo_academy in Info class was incorrect (modules\Hydro\Embassy\Embassy_Civ4BuildingInfos.xml).
Similiar error with Alaric and Banditry civic in leaderheadinfos.

The svn updater warned of several files in conflicted state (namely those that gave error when the game was launched).

2. The rogue/thief/Assassin's etc are supposed to be invisible, but as you can see they are wide open and everyone can see them, pls fix.

3. Cheap religious tech??

1 - there are a whole bunch of those with the new civics - I'll see if I can figure out what CivPlayer8 intended on them.

2 - in my game thy are invisible unless I have a unit that can see them in range of them. Then I can see them. They are almost invisible when they attack also.

3 - that is too much to pay for that tech it should be zero since it has no benefit.

You need to do a clean up on your working SVN version. Right click on the main folder select TorticeSVN... then select Clean up

I assume you are running C2C from a folder which is not your working SVN (always a good thing). Are you using some package to keep them in sync? It sounds like you have old files on your playing version is all.

1. No the religion techs have no value after someone has discovered them.

2. That is the Rev Watch bug I still need to track down.

3. put my fix for the "other" adviser in the SVN. Plus a fix for those civic love texts.

I have an appointment now so will get onto the Revolution nit problem when I get back.
 
I think there is a bug with connected resoruces appearing in cities. In screen one I have a pumpkin resource connected by trail path to my city, however in screen it doesn't not appear on the list of resoruces. I had a similar problem with my fig resoruce next to my capital (also connected) not showing up for many turns, before finally appearing, seemingly at random. I've attached the saved game as well.

I am playing with the SVN 3423.
