1. Missing text
I was tooling around the pedia, looking up subdued animals to see if I should save certain ones or just butcher them and cam across the Boxing Kangaroo. The descriptive text was missing and just gave coding definitions (TXT_KEY_ ... for both Strategy & Background)

Thanks for that, I'll add it to my list of things to fix. The Boxing Kangaroo is just the same as the Dancing Bear but for the Southern Hemisphere.;)

I had to do that so that Barbarians would not be making Culture Units. I would suggest getting a new HDD and then installing all new drivers for everything, as that hardware sounds like more than enough to run C2C.

So Civilizations Infos is not WoC compliant? The hard disk is also new. One other suggestion is that my profile may be corrupt, so I will need to chase that up. I am installing .Net 4 now.

Going to do anything about the lack of blue circles to signify the best places to put cities? I have the exact same settings I had before, and no joy. I would really appreciate someone at least paying attention and attempting to address this.

Not sure where this is done, our main Python person is off on holidays and I can't get c2c to work at all with my new hardware. So that the problem is not lost you could make a task/bug report on our task tracker. See first post here.

I am installing .Net 4 now.

One thing i just found out about Net 4, if you turn OFF your PC completely, i mean UNplug it and take the remaining electricity out of it also, that the Net 4 that you had will not work, until you do another Net 4 repair, then you will still need to do a deletion of the Custom Assets folder files inside, and the log files inside (and a restart). Then again do another Net 4 "repair", that should do the trick then. A little annoying but well worth the time and effort.

Well it never did before v25. I use a syncronise program to keep the working SVN in sync with my playing version and that file has only changed since My hard disk crash.
In the revision I just pushed the MusicUpdate will no more write the era info file if there is no new sound file to add

I do not think anyone else has noticed this. The Adventurer, the recon upgrade for the Explorer, has a cargo space of 1, but no restrictions on what it can carry. This makes it the most powerful unit in the game in any age as it can transport any unit. It can transport ships, even Carriers and Battleships across continents, it can act as a portable aircraft carrier to escort your army deep inland because it can carry (1) air unit. It can be used to carry wounded units with your army, while they heal up. It can transport units right up to the city walls, unload them and they can all attack right away, because they have not used any movement points.

Most of the time, the game shuts down to desktop after a few minutes. It used to be just when I selected the tech tree, civics panel, civilopedia or a few other things. One in a while, the game would load without any of these problems but it means that to play the game, I have to load it repeatedly, sometimes for a few hours until that happens.

The problem seems to be getting worse. Now I can only play a few turns before it shuts down.

I would post a minidump but for some reason, I don't have any.

Koshling,

ok i think i got it this time, where the city in the screenie attached with BBAI and 4 savedgames before i can actually see it empty, might help

I can't reproduce it from those saves, but there is good evidence as to why it happened, which I think I now understand. I had some work on my list of TODOs that should address this, but because I can't reproduce it, it will be a 'blind' fix with no direct way to test. Whatevr - it's a change I was intending to make anyway, so I'll go ahead and do so. Thanks for the extra evidence

So? It depends on both Game Setting/Option Choose Religion and on if anyone even goes for Judaism at all (considering they are now Dead End technologies).
Not really a bug I'd say.

Cheers

The only settings that could allow that are DP and Choose Religions. Remember that Judaism is a prereq for Christianity (tech-wise).

Right, Options only then. Either DP or Choose Religion could do it then.
DP by not using the one at Judaism to found Judaism.
Choose Religion because you can choose any religion when researching any religion technology.

Need to know what Z has set for options before we can know if it's a bug or not.

Cheers

Use Viewports, that will hopefully eliminate your MAFs.
It did, but now the game crashes to desktop when it reaches somewhere around AD.
(duel map + starting prehistoric)
So, my pc is simply not powerful enough to play this mod. That's a shame.
I wonder what kind of hardware specifications is needed to play this mod without problems.

Btw, (and see picture below) messages about AI civic switches showed up every 5 turns,
but according to the research turn times, Hiram couldn't have been in anarchy.
This only happened in this game.

Now I'm having two issues. The first is that when I save my game after setting up the Viewport BUG settings it crashes. The second is that it isn't making a minidump.:(

To reproduce this, Copy the included Usersettings folder over your own, then load the included save and set up the Viewport to be 90/60/2/5. Then save the game twice.

For the minidump - if you installed it inside 'program files(x86)' on Windows 7, it cannot write to the place it wants to put the minidump unkles you run it as admin. Are you running a admin? (or else have UAC disabled in Windows which is not recommended)

I installed it in C:\Games, and I am running it as admin, so neither of those apply here. Can you reproduce this?

No idea - I'm part way through some AI chnages and dont have a runnable/stable DLL currently. It'll be at least tomorrow before I can try.

Edit - BTW - save it TWICE? It crashes the second time you save it (with no intervening load or other actions)?
