v 26, and above ALL Bugs/Crashes reporting thread

That is with viewports, right?

I assume that this happens when no proper plot builder is created for that plot (and it might also need a call to rebuild that plot).

This has been one of the stumpers for Koshling in the viewport code since the beginning. It will fix itself mostly on a viewport shift, but then go screwy the next shift. If you have ideas for fixing it it would really be nice, because the hovering buildings/bonuses/features is IMO the only really annoying thing about Viewports.

The minidump in that ZIP is 0 bytes!

I'll load the save and see if end turn crashes for me later today - just load and end-turn??

It was probably just a graphics glitch then, . . See i always load from a game already going, just to see what happens alot of the time . .

Latest SVN wonder "Library of Nineveh" the XML says it needs 3 tablet makers but the pedia says six! @Hydro are you over riding this building? You shouldn't since it is an Orion Veteran production and we try and keep all of those in the one place.

Also how on earth (or random map) am I supposed to get 6 pop 6 cities in the early copper age! the Library is a copper age wonder, it would be nice to build it when it was historically. the same can be said for the Spinx and Pyramids they used to require a size 6 city but now require size 10! To build them when they were historically I would need to build them in my capital which is already full of prehistoric wonders.

On the wonder limit - it needs to change. It should probably be a limit on the number of era wonders. Or not not count obsolete wonders or both. But mostly it rewards you in a positive feedback way.

It should be creating plotBuilders for each plot that needs them on the viewport switch. If you can see a bug in that area it would be highly appreciated however.

The changes to Pyramids and Sphinx are Praetyre's. You may want to let him know that his changes are causing problems. Personally, I think a lot of his Wonder changes have gone too far. I'm modmodding my C2C copy to remove the prerequisites I consider especially odious, and I'm waiting for his response to my arguments in that topic. I also just chopped down a bunch of city size requirements.

Tablet Maker is one of Hydro's buildings. Maybe he should drop the size requirement? The problem with Library of Nineveh is that the <PrerequisiteBuildingsClasses> tag scales with map size, so the bigger the map, the more of building X you have to build as a prerequisite. It's the same tag that controls the number of Temples needed to build a Cathedral. This tag is why I find Circus Maximus to be so annoying right now -- it's really hard on large maps to get enough cities with nearby Horses to build the number of Hippodromes necessary for the Circus.

I think a really good tweak to the Wonder limit would be an XML tag of <iWonderLimitCount> that would allow a Wonder to (basically) not count towards the Wonder limit. That is, a Wonder with:

Code:
<iWonderLimitCount>1</iWonderLimitCount>

would add 1 to the city's Wonder Limit when built (so effectively, that Wonder wouldn't count towards the limit). I would like to see this applied to the Culture Wonders, and to the Shrines to allow them to count as Wonders again (it feels very wrong that Statue of Zeus - one of the original Seven Wonders of the World - is not a Wonder in our current version of C2C).

OK lately some of the modders have added NEW UnitCombat to C2C, did you also know that you need to change it in the BugUnitNameOptionsTab.py ?

Missing Civilian, Sea Animal, Diplomat, Trade, Commander, Missionary, Nomad, Criminal and Executive, PLUS Canine and Combatant needs to be moved in Alphabetically, thx.

1. Palace of Potala currently cannot be built - it has prereq Housing (Palaces), which is replaced by Housing (Estates), which requires Surveying techm which is prereq for Architecture-Stained Glass-Education, which is required to build Palace of Potala.

2. MosIAc Working - tech name. Should be MosAIc (it remains so for last several months :) )

I am not really happy with many of his changes. Especially when he is using size 10 for many requirements now. I guess I will have to go into the files and chnage them since many of them are unapproved.

EDIT: If you find any more specific examples please let me know so I can fix them.

I will be reducing the number of tablet makers needed for the Library of Nineveh.

I think The Sphinx should have the Sculptures tech as a requirement rather than Sculptures the resource. I complained about the Spinx and Pyramid wonders requiring size six cities because they were not built "near" cities. ;) I think 10 is way too much. On noble I was not able to start building them until the classic period when I should have been able to build them in the ancient period.

Fixed it. I had voodoo turned off as a religion, which wiped the pedia.

It should not. This implies a bug in the modularity of the religions. Did you get any error messages when you turned Voodoo off? Edit yes you did - now i need to fix them.

Thank you for asking. Here's what I have modded myself:
  • Great Mosque of Djenne: Delete Islamic Cathedral
  • Hermitage: Delete Art Gallery
  • Louvre: Delete Art Gallery

Disagree with these three. There are two versions of the Mosque of Djenne under differing names one secular and the other religious.

Another thing that needs to be done is to move the buildings, especially, wonders from their current techs to the last of the techs that they need for their building or at least have that tech as a requirement. For example The Spinx and The Pyramids both require sculptures which means that the tech sculpture should be a requirement to avoid confusion.

It is this last which caused me not to be able to build some buildings in their historic period because I did not know what I needed to research. My usual testing is about making sure the buildings work and that you can possibly get the wonders in the period they were historically built.
