V24 Bugs/crashes reporting thread

In case the problem is on my end, what I'm seeing here is a tracker surrounded by black tiles and I'm not sure what's going on with the minimap. There's no crash or anything, and refocusing on my capital has given me my tile graphics back the last couple of times it happened. But since it seems to carry over on the save, I figured I'd pass it along and see if you can make anything of it. SVN 3102, I think (ori's volcano adjustment). 48x30,2 VP.

Koshling if you have a chance to take a look at this, click through a few turns until the Atl-Atl research is finished. For some reason my fortified (because they're useless on attack) Slingers don't upgrade even though the auto-upgrade is selected. I built some Stone Spearmen in the following turns and the auto-upgrade worked just fine on them regardless of whether they were sentried, fortified, or just skipped turn.
 
This bug has probably been reported before, but I don't feel liking wading through 10 pages to check.

I downloaded the mod from Desura, and when I try to launch the game, I get this message:

Mods\c2c \ is an invalid mod directory, ignoring

And then vanilla BTS launches.

Look at any of the 1st page post, or the download area, it has instructions on how to install, thx for writing. . . .

I'm really bad at installing mods, so bear with me here.

When I click on the download link, I just get Desura. And as far as I know, there's no way to move around the files I get from Desura into the right folder.

Right-click movement should work fine in the latest SVN.

Just updated lastest svn, managed to get to the next turn which is good.
I tried to right click move and insta-crash, it also crashes still if I select the right click menu (since i have a bad habit of just right clicking).

Not sure what you mean by 'the right click menu' - on what?

In the game menu options (standard option menu not BUG) there is an option (right click menu ). When you right click it gives you a menu such as move unit here, inspect tile yada yada. I just turned it on coz I was sick of it crashing when I accidentally used right click out of habbit. But discovered that it still crashes with this on.. hope that makes sense :lol:
 
Updated SVIn to 3115 rev and this cannot pass the next turn - WFoC and then CTD :)

Diplomacy and trade items issue. Has been going on for sometime now. See screenie.

In this screenie it shows Narbona has Melons for trade And that I (v24 Release) have none. But my city of San Francisco right behind the Diplomacy screen clearly has a Farm producing Melons. (look to left of diplomacy screen). Things like this have been showing up for several versions now.

Now I am researching Irrigation which gives a bunch of Fruit and Vegetable "Bldgs/Goods", and Narbona has finished Irrigation already. Possible cause?

This happens to a lot of trade items during the game.

Bug? or WAD?

I just turned it on coz I was sick of it crashing when I accidentally used right click out of habbit. But discovered that it still crashes with this one.. hope that makes sense :lol:

Ah, I was unaware of that option, but it did indeed crash. I have now fixed this in the latest SVN.

Anyway, I could not reproduce any crashing with normal (none-menu) right-click movement (it's how I always move myself). Can you post the save game where this is happening for you together with details of your dynamic entity and viewport settings please (and also check that the latest SVN fixes you right-click-menu option based movement ideally).

This is a hotseat game, svn 3103 (I think, same as my previous glitch). I think this is the same problem as the single player graphics glitch before-in a particular viewport that is not the first used moving units don't appear to uncover territory correctly. In this case it was the second player's VP (which I presume to be different given the delay when turns change). It was more of an issue for a player than the units I had automated in the previous example, so I had to try correcting it. Turning viewports off didn't change the appearance of the game once loaded (the row of tiles next to the stone thrower were still blacked out) but on moving the unit, they were revealed as they should be.

SVN 3118, When I discover an early religion (Shamanism in the attached save) the same religion is immediately granted to other Civs. In the example you can use the GP in Thebes to found Shamanism, then use WB or switch players, and Shamanism has immediately spread to the Inuit and Chinese capitals. I have contact with the Inuit but no contact with the Chinese. By immediate I mean the same turn; not after a new turn.

I rate this bug as minor since I am aware of it and can use WB to work around it.

This is part of the mod by The_J "Real Religions" which has been included in C2C. When a religion is founded it immediately spreads to all leaders who have that religion as their favorite.

I thought we disabled that function a long time ago, becuase it caused some issues? Or am I just hallucinating. :confused:
