So another version, another plans thread. Here is mine. It is by no means exhaustive.

  • Add more Worker promotions and capabilities.
  • Work on methods for reducing build list lengths and make city development more strategic.
  • Start implementing Core Unit rebalance (thru Renaissance).
  • Work on GeoRealism Support? (if it is added)
  • Multi-Maps code?
 
Not really a full modded here exactly but none the less I would like to type out my goals. Obviously dependent on time constraints and personal ability.

  • Finish archetypes with Thunderbrd
  • Convert existing Leaderheads to archetype system
  • Fix up stuff on various earth maps
  • Release first version of an Immense size Europe map
  • Make more leaders
  • Start working on a medieval Europe scenario (if the freeatEra, FreetoNew gets done for buildings)

Slightly unrelated, may work on a modmod adjusting buildings if I am personally not in favor of the buildings direction.
 
Python screens
  • Main Interface
    - city screen more specialists;
    - city screen fuel gauge on the screen for properties rather than them being hidden behind a tab as they are now​
  • Pedia
    - routes page;
    - better hero page;
    - maybe Culture page​

Everything else should go on hold until I have done that. Although I may have come up with a better mechanism for releasing mod mods that are additions and replacements to parts of C2C.
 
  • Finish the requested tags (just debugging them now and its taking longer than I'd hoped)
  • Setup the Archetype section
  • Assist with implementation of more Combat Classes
  • Complete implementation of Option Edit structure on the remaining Class Objects still needing the setup.
  • A couple more tags that have come up since the last tag project
  • Some mopup debugging.
 
The things I'm interested in helping make happen are the following:
  • unique tech quotes for all techs
  • audio quotes for each tech
  • Disease System overhaul
  • Equipment System
  • Poison System overhaul
  • Combat Mod workings
 
@TB: Also remember making the developing traits popup multiplayer safe (should be useful to learn net messages on this).
 
As always these are more of goals than promises. If I can do any of them this cycle then it will be an accomplishment.

- Add more Buildings from my TODO list.
- Convert/Make more Animal graphics.
- Help replace redundant icon/buttons.
- Plan/Balance Units with ls612 & SilentConfusion
- Make New Properties (ex. Electricity, Unemployment, Structural Integrity)
- Add Franchisees
- Add more types of Culture Wonders
- Add more Holidays
- Work on Alt-Timeline (Atompunk, Biopunk and/or Cyberpunk)
- Work on Trans-Human and Galactic Era Stuff

Can you do me a favor and put these very LAST on your TODO list, Please:please:
Right now WE have more than enough of each, so it will not harm gameplay or the likes, what WE need more importantly is more balanced ones per Era. :)
 
I am not adding any more animals anyway. At least not until we have some way of getting the spawn to work on non-random maps which don't have the East-West 180 degrees at the edges of the map.

:eek: Didnt know that, i was wondering why MY map there were no animals after Classical Era.

btw did you see my last message about that Event i had (Assassin) in the Help Wanted thread??

But I have been trying to add Modern and Trans-Human Era buildings. Isn't that what you guys wanted? On my short term todo list I have around 40 buildings left. Most of which are requests and/or ones for techs that have nothing in them.
 
Is it difficult to add buildings? If it is easy but time consuming, I could try to add your buildings so you can focus on balancing.

That's ok I enjoy making buildings. Balancing not so much. Mainly because no matter what you do someone will be unhappy with how you balanced things. For instance I don't think the buildings are that bad right now and most of the bad ones are already have been re-balanced. Sure there are a lot of buildings but that doesn't mean they are not balanced.

For instance I don't think the buildings are that bad right now and most of the bad ones are already have been re-balanced. Sure there are a lot of buildings but that doesn't mean they are not balanced.

It was just an offer to help you. I cant think of a building thats not balanced, but SO wanted you to do so.

I'd be happy to have someone help with the XML work of balancing. I'm going to be posting my Prehistoric/Ancient balance for the Core sometime this week or next and that will be some work to get done. Faustmouse could help Silent with that.

Sure. Let me know what you think needs tweaking and I can give my opinion on them. Chances are I might not have though of that. Or perhaps I can explain why I did what I did and why I think it should be left the way it is.
