Vanilla 1.74 PBEM starting

Sorry, I had a spot for you, but I got info from jbieksa first.

No worries. Was bad of me to think I could join anyway, I am going away on short holiday (no email for 4 days) end of next week, which would have certainly peed the lot of you off.

And I hope everyone realises this game won't end in a week or two, this'll take at least three months with 6 players.

Yeah, not to mention the possibility of having someone suddenly decide to not care about the game or just leave because they're losing. Then again, it's not like it's a huge commitment to play just a single turn of Civ4 a day for a game you don't care about anymore...but yea, I'll shut up now. :crazyeye:

kneark: I was just warning people since many seem to think multiplayer is as fast as single player, and PBEM is really it's own story in slowness, I wouldn't like to start playing with 6 people of whom suddenly 2 or 3 decide they don't want to play.

Is there anyone not planning to take their turn during the evening hours of their time zone? I plan to take mine during the afternoons, so I'm going to put myself ahead of jbieksha. If anyone else in the states is planning on playing in the afternoon or morning, please let me know so I can reorganize the play list.

I usually will play my turns somewhere in the 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM range. I don't know if that changes anything but there it is if it does.

email address sent, and time of day I normally play.

Seeing nobody picked China, I'll take Qin.

+5, -5, depends what TV science show you are watching. I mean National Geographic and PBS NOVA should know which way the earth rotates right?

I just finished a game: 5 players 13 months. Also had 2 die due to lack of interest even before any wars got started.

good luck to all of you!
I think 6 players is to much and will take to much time to finish. So that's why i didn't sign in. Maybe i'll start a smaller game with only 3 or 4.

but now and then, i'll check out how thinks are going with you and lurk on this thread.

civ on!

Doc I need an e-mail address from you.

Here is the order based on time zones and time of play:

Ankka
Gilgamesh
bamf226
kneark
jbieksha
DocHammer

Those in the Eastern hemisphere will finish up before midday here in the states. The afternoon players will play and then the two evening states players will play. We should be able to establish a turn a day in this fashion.

If I don't hear from Doc today, I'll get it started with just us 5. I'll send out an e-mail with everyone's e-mail address tonight and the file will go out tomorrow.

I know for a fact I won't be able to from say 7 AM until 5 PM. Teach and coach track ... some nights it may not be until 8 as we have meets.

I might be able to play a turn really early in the AM (say 6) on some days...
