Building off this, does anyone else think a jacket without vents wrinkles noticeable more than one with vents?

Also, I'm at a loss for advising large guys. Some people suggest that double vents make one look larger, while others suggest it is much more comfortable. Anyone have any thoughts on venting and the big man?

+1 with Zelig. Get rid of the weight and suddenly clothes aren't an issue. Everything suits a skinny frame.

I HATE THESE STUPID THREADS ABOUT POINTLESS STUFF THAT NOBODY REALLY CARES ABOUT!!!!!:mad::mad: THEY SUCK!:mad::mad:

I do not care for threads that make me think RLF is back posting. I know it is my fault for not checking the date though.

Is worrying about men's fashion part of another underlying issue? I personally do not mind wearing clothes as to not stick out like a sore thumb, but the "looking better than the rest" mentality is beyond me. I feel sorry for those people who wear suits 24/7, but I am sure they feel sorry for me not being able to wear one for more than 2 hours.

So a vent is the thing covering your butt, right? The indent thingy there?

My suit has one, I always thought it was done for "style" as opposed to anything functional. My Thai suit has a vent. I think. I could be ocmpletlye wrong about what a vent is. I also like that spelling of completely so I'm leaving it.

Venting is the slit(s), or lack thereof, in the bit that covers one's posterior.

Don't waste money on suits until one has lost the excess weight.

Q: What is more comfortable for bigger people?

A: Don't be a fatty.

Did I get that right?

Well if a bigger person does buy a suit they're either:
a) Planning on wasting money, as they won't be able to get it resized enough once they lose weight.
or
b) Planning on not losing weight.

Neither of those are good plans.

I like to pretend that it's for particularly violent farts. It gives the suit some elasticity.

So thank for ruining my fantasy everyone.

Have you ever noticed how some farts tend to get trapped in your clothing? This can be an especial problem with boiler suits, cat suits and baby grow onesies.

Guys, why don't you just go back to wearing togas for formal wear? That way it doesn't matter how it looks on people of varying physiques. All you'd need are white oversize flannel blankets and cloak pins, plus sandals (yeah, it would be a problem for those who live in colder climates). Problem solved.

Ok, I did get that right. Wanted to be sure.

We should just get rid of formal wear entirely. Nobody cares what your social status is except for people who can suck it.

Oh, if only this were true!

It's a bit rude..but it is the truth. Not going to sugarcoat anything here.

Losing weight is incredibly difficult, and very easy for those who aren't over-weight to talk about.

When's the last time you went without a meal? Did it make you feel ravenously hungry? Just imagine going a year feeling like that.

You're lecturing the wrong man here Mr B.

I've been on a diet and lost 2-3 stone. Now clothing myself isn't an issue.

I reckon if individuals followed my advice they would be far more content in what they wear. I'm trying to help people :)

Ah. But when did you lose it?

The number of people I've met who've successfully lost weight only to regain it, and more, after a couple of years!

But you're right, I don't know what I'm talking about. I've never had a weight problem myself.

You're right. People shouldn't think of it as a temporary change in eating habits. It's a lifestyle change. It's been almost two years now and it is still off ;)

You've done splendidly! Do you feel really better for it? And not just cosmetically?

Rangy, yes, gangly, no. A lot of skinny people, especially young guys who haven't learned the nuances of sizing, just end up look like a zombie whose skin is midway through sloughing off its skeleton.
