Vermont Towns Endorse Move to Impeach Bush

This is a stupid move for publicity. So that people who do not care for Bush worldwide can fawn over this town's "guts"

Impeachment falls under the control of the Congress. The House of Representatives drafts and votes for articles of impeachment and the Senate tries the case.

All of this is a town's attempt to make national/world news and to show everyone what a wonderful progressive people that they are.

Its funny that you guys mention this. The Post had an op-ed peice talking about how this idea is gaining more and more steam. If the dems get a senate majority, they might seriously look into it

first they would have to get a majority in the House

I am reminded of Killington, Vermont attempting to secede and join New Hampshire. If I remember correctly, the debate is ongoing. Vermonters are strange, but at least they have open minds (two of their three members of Congress are Independents).

Yeah, I have a friend who goes to Middlebury. His roommate is active in the Vermont Seccessionist Movement.

My friend also says that a lot of people in Vermont smoke a lot of weed.

George Bush was elected twice by the U.S. voting population, so get over it.

Bush won in 2000 because of partisanship by SCOTUS. Bush won in 2004 because of election fraud.

Why call it partisanship? Can't you accept that he rightfully won Florida. Oh and about election fraud, proove it. I mean really, you Democrats need to stop being so childish about losing.

I certanly hope that this can go through so we can finaly rid ourselves of Emperor Bush.

Define emperor and you'll see he isn't an emperor. ;)

EDIT: No wait, I'll do it.

Code:
em·per·or ( P ) Pronunciation Key (mpr-r)
n.
The male ruler of an empire.

Ok, empire:

Code:
em·pire ( P ) Pronunciation Key (mpr)
n.

A political unit having an extensive territory or comprising a number of territories or nations and ruled by a single supreme authority.

Nope, Iraq and Afghanistan *ARE NOT* governed by US laws. Therefore, we aren't an empire.

It also amazes me how the "single supreme authority" has 535 elected delegates and 50 different state legislatures.

While that is clearly not the case at hand, it is not inconceivable that a lawfully elected leader (who received more than 50% of the popular vote, or whatever counts in your country) could become a single supreme authority or an Emperor-type leader.

Bush is not an Emperor/dictator, but it has nothing to do with the fact that he was elected by a majority (or close to a majority of Americans).

Fox McCloud, Odin is a member of DemocratUnderground, so you can draw your own conclusions from that. Check out my Dummie Funnies link in my signature to see what they come up with.

And I just don't get Vermont. They are a rural state, having NOTHING in common with the typical urban Democrat centers--so why do they keep acting like loony leftists? (Ben and Jerry, Howard Dean, Jumpin' Jim Jeffords, etc.) And let's not forget the Only Honest Democrat in America, Bernie Sanders.

Spoiler :
Sanders is the only Democrat honest enough to admit that he IS a Socialist
