Version 1.0.1.221a Available

I agree that it is more challenging. It almost feels balanced. I could barely win on Prince on Civ IV... and I'm struggling on Prince on Civ V!

I should be getting my new iMac tomorrow. I'll let you know how it runs on there this weekend. Sad that I had to buy a new computer just to play a game :)

Has anyone noticed that, since downloading this patch, the architectural style of cities is not native to their civilizations? The Indians are building Japanese-style cities, the buildings in Arab cities follow what appears to be an Aztec(?) style, etc.

Anyone have a fix for this, or must we wait for the next patch? I ask because this kind of ruins it for me.

PC users noted this when they got their version of this patch. There's no known fix.

That's OK, buddy. The only reason I got my MBP instead of an iPad was because I knew Civ V was coming out.

Seriously? You must have a much bigger screen than me. I can't even tell.

Great news to have the patch available, BUT:

When I started Steam up today it began to update itself, but went to its main screen before the update was complete... That is: the process started with just a progress bar indicating a 36mb upgrade was being applied to Steam, but then the bar disappeared when I got to about 25mb and was replaced by the full Steam interface... I could see that something was still being downloaded (by looking at my network monitor) but couldn't tell what - whether it was still Steam being upgraded or Civ 5...

So I quit and restarted the process... This resulted in no progress bar to indicate where I am in the process... I am on the main page of the Steam application with nothing to indicate the availability of the new patch or a progress bar... Checking the Civ 5 application on my hard disc indicates that it's still the previous version, indicating that the patch hasn't been downloaded (or at least not fully downloaded) This is seriously irritating!

Anyone able to offer help? TIA
