Version 2.6 discussion

hi generalstaff ^^
are you a developer of this mod? because.. i wanna ask you something about the new revolution screen (i wrote this problem in this page a week ago).
I mean, with this new revolution screen i can't know the (dynamic)name of my civilization now.. this is bad T_T

I am not involved with the Rise of Mankind (RoM), the modder behind RoM is Zappara, he could help you. What I did is develop a module for rise of Mankind (link: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=318293). For your question though, your dynamic civ name can be seen by moving your mouse onto your civ flag on the default screen when you have nothing selected.

That is a nice idea generalstaff. The Welfare Office seems kind of useless.

It is useful in a city prone to unhealthiness that is not your Wall Street city. I would build it in a few cities in the game I am currently playing. "I love the Leader" days are valuable.

There seems to be a few trivial bugs in my version (2.63 I think)

I get a few XML error messages before loading the game. Are these bugs genereall, or is there a patch to fix them?

The route types aka: ROUTE_TRACK, ROUTE_PAVED, ROUTE_MODERN_ROAD, etc. is not defined. They need to be defined in a the file under .../MISC/ROUTESOMETHING.XML
Likewise these new route types have to be included in routeyields under improvements.xml.

This has the side effect of not being able to build roads and thus also connect ressorces to your empire untill monarchy, which is very frustrating.

Similary, bonustype_manufactured (in terrain, bonus...xml) seems not to be defined.

Grand Seeker,
Do you have more than 1 version of RoM in your BtS Mods folder? This sounds like an old problem reoccurring when you have a "Rise Of Mankind" and a "Rise of Mankind v2.x" in the BtS Mods folder. This confuses the .ini files for CIV IV and BtS.

Yes I had two copies of RoM in that folder when I tried to instal Rom 2.62.
I delete the folder and reinstalled RoM and walla, no problems.

By the way, looks like a good mod.

Hello!

After I click "End Turn" on this game, it goes away to wait for other civilisations, and well... never comes back.

Is there anyone who can shed any light on this? I've spent most of a free Saturday (the rarest commodity of all, in my experience) on getting this game to this point, and I'd be absolutely gutted to have to start again....

It's a civ bts 3.17, rom 2.63 game.
It's 1850

BarbCiv is turned on
RevDCM is turned on
TechDiffusion is turned on

If this is in any way recoverable, I'd be so incredibly appreciative...

Edit :

Oops. I got here by clicking "Bug Report" on the main thread, but this clearly isn't the bug report thread. If you would like to move my post, please feel free to go ahead. I'll go post there, now.

Yeah report bugs here and Zap or someone else should give you an answer. Also try the ROM 2.7 thread as there is more activity on there!

This bug is now fixed in RevDCM 2.5 which has been merged to RoM v2.7. Only way to recover from this problem in your RoM 2.63 game is to find out with debug tools which civ is causing the problem (it's one of its stack of units) and then switch to this civ with debug tools and make the turn for that particular civ and then switch back to your own civ - not so simple task if you don't have any modding experience and even I did spent a month tracking down the cause of this bug.
