Version 2.8beta

I had an idea about the UN. Perhaps one could work it by having the UN be an automatic civ like the barbarians. Except in the case of the UN, each civ would control their own UN units. Would help solve some of the UN issues?

Nice idea, however if a unit looks like a barbarian then everyone will attack it. What I think is needed is some way of making your UN troops look like the enemy to one or more other civs but not the rest of your units. Which sort of makes then another civ with no land area and under your direct control.

keep the sugestions coming we may find a workable solution yet :)

after having played three games so far, i have a question about the early naval units; the pedia says that the earliest naval units(the galleys) can't enter ocean squares, but it seems to me that they do just fine;
in all my games i had one or another civ circumnavigating the whole (freaking) world with a war galley even before 1 AD.. (i had to turn up WB and figure out which civ it was by looking at the unrevealed tile track across the vast expanses of the ocean...) on the second game it was starting to become irritating and rather ridiculous, because even with well over 10 ocean tiles between continents everyone just got to know each other as soon as they had an ocean-crossing galley at their disposal. funny that my own ships usually get a "lost at sea" event should i try to follow in my AI neighbors' footsteps.
since storms spawn near the AI territories, i assume that they do get that event too, not just every single time, perhaps? im now wondering how the heck this is supposed to work.

im making notes of minute mistakes in the pedia texts and tips, for a reason i myself don't know. when i get time to play a game from ancient to future in marathon speed, i'll probably be able to look closer... so far, i haven't found that many.

@Kizuna.Zero

Many strategy texts are giving a bit of wrong information in RoM 2.81 as those haven't been kept up to date. For RoM 2.9 I intend to go through all strategy texts and fix them.
