So, has anybody played Paradox's Victoria: An Empire under the Sun??? If so, is it a good game to buy or not? Pros? Cons?

There is already a thread but yes, yes it is a good game. Nothing like pulling of the Schiefflin plan and attacking Paris.

I was attracted to the name "Victoria" because it's my state. The previous related thread comparing it to EUII has raised interest even more. Will investigate.
