Yepp, Trespasser is the name of that vile abnormination. Your turn, Doc!

I assume you're a fellow trespasser buyer, in which I share your pain. In my defence, I bought it for £0.99 simply for the curiousity, and my love for Jurassic Park.

Fortunately, i didn't actually buy it. Instead i played the demo back in 1998 or whenever it was released on the hapless humanity. (Heck i might even still have the bloody demo cd!) Failing around helplessly with the "arm" in the vain hope to accomplish anything is one of my most lasting gaming memories.
In the end i was buried under crates and just quitted the game once the first dino came to eat me.

I like how you put "the arm" in quotations. It means you definately played some poor part in the game :p

I can't remember exactly what part, but it involved crates. Maybe i had to pick up something from one of them. It definitly made me loathe the concept of "dynamic physics" engine. :p
I'm almost afraid to ask, but how many hours did you waste on it? How far did you get?

Can't tell, but maybe some kind of plane fighter game.

nope but kinda close. it did involve using planes of some kind but there was more aspects. I played it on the Atari ST (along with Civ1 :) )but I'm also aware that it was available for the Amiga and there's currently a project to try and redesign it for the PC by amatures but I don't know if anything will come of that

I persevered as far as I could - I wanted to say I'd completed the game. My only reward was some fun in an abandoned village populated with raptors, which i'll admit was slightly atmospheric. A little while after that I gave up when I was in a level with little ammo and too many dinosaurs. I didn't think I deserved to be stuck in a game like this.

As for the physics engine, I completely agree. Poorly implemented, and I couldn't for the life of me work out why everything seemed to be covered in a layer of grease :p

quite simple, cover everything in grease and dinos get distracted from eating people, think there were alot of dinos before? once that grease is gone expect waaay more dinos chasing you

To get us back on track, here is the current question:

May we get another hint, i fear you have us stumped with this one!

my apologies. The game may be somewhat..... vague. I just thought it would be more well known.

In the game you can control both MANTAs and WALRUSes to acomplish your goal and that goal is to take over Islands and build factories and the like to help you defeat the enemy

Alright, i think i found it now via google. Is it Carrier Command?
I've never heard of it, but then again i never had an Atari!

Yup, Carrier Command it is. I loved that game, almost on an equal level of my love for Elite2. two games I'm praying get remade for the PC

For anyone interested here's the website for the "new" game they're trying to make http://www.carriercommand.com/

Till's question

Ah thanks for the link Stevie. The concept behind the game does sound interesting! I'm waiting for a proper Elite remake too, by the way.

Here is the new question:
quiz16ke.jpg

It is the cover of a creative game, which i just scanned with my brand new scanner! Lovely gadget.

Edit: Come to think... hopefully the lady on the right does not get me into trouble with the authorities.

Chukchi, you got it!
Granted, the controls were terrible, but the rest of the game wasn't too bad. I enjoyed taking over people. :D

Damn i'm too late - yea the controls kinda made me hate the game ... i remember jumping on some pipes ... the HORROR ... i think i spent 1 day at that ... but yea possessing people is fun :satan:
