I doubt it very much unfortunately. When I added the extra corps and guilds, I had to expand the gamefont file, and it was a mess working with. I had to add an extra corporation for it to work without crashing :

I took the advice with sourceforge. Mediafire just isnt what it used to be.

Hey Vin, what are your settings fm that SS in post #741? My quick speed AI test on v.92 seemed to run well. So I'm gonna go again on a different setting.
 
Huge+ (18 civ) Big & Small (Islands mixed in),
Normal (x2 Unit&Building) speed,
Emperor difficulty

Everyone have relatively small empires (8-12 cities), but its kinda nice for a MicroManager such as myself, not to have too many cities (I have 8 at the moment, turn 430/1550AD, being #3 on scoreboard.
The x2 U&B speed is actually quite balanced, and I might make it as standard, coz there is always something the cities can do (building buildings/units/spreading guilds/religion etc), while the Trade/Study/Interrogate/Build wealth/Perform Research etc does have its charm in its own way.

i think we need more gold :)

When? In the beginning, medieval or late eras?

Also, Im considering setting the Vassals free at 33% or even 25% of master population/size (vanilla is 50%) but still retain the at least 100% of original (of when captured).
Reason : To get more dynamics into game, and also, I hate when Im warring a civ and then suddenly I make peace coz my ally vassalled the civ (whom we both hate)
 
Ok, if your running a norm spd, I'll set up a Mon diff @ epic and see how it goes. Agree with you about the vassals. I didn't have a prob with gold on norm, so we'll see how mon does in that aspect.
 
yeahm, I thought I had figured it out. You know, Out-teched and Arms-raced the ai.
Though by turn 445 I was 5th place going 6th, my neighbourghs starting to make unreasonable demands, my demographics wasnt a pretty sight, and tbh the only thing holding the AI from viping me off the face of the planet was 2 defense alliances and a strong (read weak SirGivalot ;)) diplomacy play, from my behalf since the very beginning.
The huge diplo penalty for attacking friends of AI, makes me reluctant to try anything bold, as a breakup of my friendships could very well spell doom, though Im expecting a strike from Germany and his ped dog the Japs.

Im still bouncing around the 60-70% in science, even though I have 3 strong Guilds : Apothec, Goldsmiths and Mercers with alot of mercer goods.

Luckely my best friend (+20 Friendly) Isabella is sitting in the pope's chair and keeps insisting that we all block trading with the techwhoring Mansa Musa of Mali, who is gone bye bye and prolly have spaceships when we gets steamboats.

The new gamecore is working very nicely, but, and maybe its because its 18 civ Huge map, but it seems a bit slower. 10-15 sec turntime around 1550AD (which in an estimat will be around 30-40 secs in modern)

I had a couple of times where my scouts would flee from an attacking warlord, while exploring AI-land. Had a big grin over those incidents : "he he, you cant catch me, he he :D".

All in all a very good, balanced and stable game, which I hope I can carry into future era :D
 
The world at war.

There is however not really any fractions as such. They just declared at their worst enemy over the last 10 turns. Its been a long time since I played a game with this kind of action :D

Vincentz, if I wanted to add a custom civ in VIP, how would I do that?
I've got myself a nice Venice custom civ working in RoM-AND, but I've no idea how to transport it to VIP.

Its going to be quite a big task, since Rom/And had their way (non vanilla) of doing stuff (python, xml AND SDK) and I have another (especially regarding diplomacy settings, UUs etc.
Its one of the reasons why I have prosponed further civs for VIP (no reason to add, and then have to change all of them again ;))

Here is the error:

CvLSystemLoadError: In CIV4BonusInfos.XML, bonus BONUS_SILK is marked
as bUseLSystems. However, the improvement IMPROVEMENT_TRADE_POST
that uses it does not have bUseLSystems set. Correct this error by enabling
LSystems on the improvement in CIV4ImprovementInfos.xml or by disabling
LSystems on the bonus.

interesting... do you have Mac, or do you use the beta 0.92?

I guess the error is true'sih :
In 0.92 I did add tradeposts to CIV4PlotLSystem.xml (wanted it to "bCutTrees:1" for possible use on forest or jungle), though i didnt link ut together with Silk, nor any other resource, nor did I activate LSystem for it in CIV4ImprovementInfos.xml.

However, I dont get that error at all, nor have I seen or heard about that kind of error.

How does the error display? like a popup? when starting the mod, or map, or init?
 
No I did not try the beta. And, yes, it is a pop-up. It happens after clicking start game.

At first I thought the game froze so I went to desktop and saw the pop-up there. I am running Vista.

Ok, I will look at your advice and try it out.

NP. I decided to look through all the different logs, and actually found another "bug", so it wasnt in complete vain. There is a promotion that have Navigation1 as a requirement, but it says Navigation (without 1). Fixed, and ready for 0.93 ;)
