Oh it's not that easy as is imho :D I suppose You could up the requirement for commando by moving to mobility - than it would require level 6 (5 for aggresive leaders as they get offensive for free) than it would be for example : offensive (level 2) -> combat 1 (level 3) -> special (level 4) -> mobility with free recon 1 from the stable at level 5) and finally commando at level 6 which would require 26 XP in total (19 XP for charismatic) and still without march that my strategy includes ;) Recon 1 promo is for free with the stable so im not counting it ;) With stable obsolete it would be even harder to get. That imho would be sufficient. Anyway as it is now: 17 XP (level 5 non-charismatic) is not that easy as well hehe (well with uber units "factories" maybe it is :D) Still Boudica would have it with ease since she is both aggresive (free offensive) and charismatic (-25 % needed XP) ! xD Which would make her on top of my warmongering choices in VIP :)

btw. Does blitz attacking take only 1 movement point ? I haven't got units with blitz yet so I wouldn't know in case if attacking takes 1 movement point it would make blitz very powerful because it would mean that unit with 10 movement points for example can attack 10 times (stack sweeper ? :mischief: ;) )

If its the version I have, then its 0.93 which I havent uploaded yet. Im slowly working my way up the tech tree readjusting things in modern era. I dont think I've made enough changes so far for another upload, especially considering there havent been any crashes or gamebreaking bugs.
But I would strongly recommend 0.92 beta instead of 0.91. There is a world in difference with the gamecore.dll. Especially in industrial & modern eras.

Since I did a new install of VIP, my friend wanted to know how he could tell which version he had already on his. We looked in different areas, but couldn't tell. He ended up just redownloading it. Now we both have the same version.
I was just curious at this point, if you knew of where we could see the version of the mod installed, or other mods show their version in the same location. I usually just see 3.19 for the BTS version, but no .91 or .92 version anywhere.
 
Does CivModName.py also help display the mod version if you then hold the pointer over your flag in the main screen? I thought thats how AND and C2C do it.

It have been a great friendship Darius, but trying to sneak in a culture win is just not cool.
Better start preparing for war, as the first and only victory in my own mod is within my reach.

Spy ops. Target his culture buildings. Of course a really big stack works too :mischief:
 
Good suggestion, but I went for the SoD solution ;)
I have to say though, that modern warfare very much involve mobile and rocket artillery, as both the tactical and strategic bombers are being shot down 9 out of 10 times. Even my intercepters rarely get through with jet fighters all over the place. And using my intercepters means that his bombers have no resistance.

Upgrades really have to be cheaper in late eras. Maybe add a Discount II with Factories.
 
Whew. Glad I wasn't the only one thinking that. ME is definitely expensive for upgrades, and even with a FIN leader things are pricey as hell.

:D I aim to. I'm really enjoying this mod, and some of the concepts are exceptional (after the 1st few "WTH's" and "YGTBFKM's" with the occasional "OBS's" thrown in for good measure) and prove uniquely interesting as the game progresses through the era's.
As for Keldath's Barsoom? hmnn, I'd really like to give it a try, but with me beta testing this and OGI + real life, I just don't have the time to start another mod :(.

As a side note (:poke:), I wouldn't be adverse to seeing some advanced diplo options :mischief:.

I have a new granddaughter as of the 18th, Sydney Marissa. Youngest daughter's 1st child. Mother, baby and Dad all doing well. And she is my 6th grandchild. :D

Its funny, sometimes when I look at Alexander, I fast forward, and imagine how he one day (hopefully) stand in the same position as my wife and I do now.
Some say its even better to get grandchildren than children ;)

Btw. I dont really mind pronouns, I just grabbed the video from a Facebook friend coz I though it was funny :p

Congratz on the new family arrival Joseph. As for poking Vinz, sure. More than happy to help :). On a side note, I'll probably be posting my observations from my last game later tonight after I review my notes.
 
found 2 serious bugs :(

1) AI Snipers can cause infinite AI turn when trying to gather for transport and staying (healing) in enemy city.
2) AI Cruise Missile aboard a missile carrier (Attack Sub / Missile Cruiser) that tries to bombard causes CTD (aaaarghh!!! a CTD!!! :( :( :() Prolly because of Air Combat Experience.
(2 is very hypothetical, as it might be some combination of the bombard with missile)

Interesting. That may explain a couple of weird things that happened in my last game that I was confused about. I'll double check my replay and see what I find.
 
Glad to hear that the Joseph clan is getting bigger ^^ Don't forget to teach all Your grandsons and granddaughters to play Civ ! ^^ ;) ;)

Vince does this bug You have mentioned earlier is in version 0,91 too ? ;) I haven't got much time to play recently so it has not occured to me yet, thanks for the warning and I hope you will sort it out ;)
