W32.Nimds.E@mm virus?? help?

Hi, anyone knows what the "W32.nimda.E@mm" virus does?

It's because my computer has been infected, but i do not know what it does, ( i think it slows my computer down, but else... )
And also what to do when you are infected?

Nimda is a rather new and very dangerous virus, it has spread very fast and has caused damage for billions.

Also, I belive that Fprot, Trends wedscan and InoculateIT are capable of removing it. Those programs are free.

I must say that I´m surprised that you have the virus since it was discovered yesterday by symantec. So you are one of the first in the world to recive it!

May I ask how you got infected?
