War & Peace: A Napoleonic Europe PBEM

Hawk, could you clarify what units those were? I'm guessing egb = English gun battery, El = English Lifeguard, but I'm not sure on EC, AC, or Af.

Yes this city now is in British hands. I backed out my forces and left it lightly defended.
I don't know if it was a cultural switch or GB captured it.

England had control of this for quite a while before occupying forces retreated leaving the city open. Sorry should have mentioned it.

Off Skaggen
emow 6/6 v psol 4/4 = emow 5/6 + emow(prussian) 4/4
emow(prussian) 4/4 v privateer 4/4 = privateer 3/5

So what happened to all my troops then?

Seems like I also forgot to post my GPS

Could one of you post a pic or two for us lurkers?

Even with limited info it would help with keeping up. :scan:

Great! So dust it off (;)) and resend it to Jureil (and also Jarovid?! Not sure at the moment who is going to take it in the end?! Jureil hasn't yet finally confirmed here.)

@Hawklord: I saw you are having problems with the AoI scenarion due to Windows 8. Does it also effect ordinary games like this one? In that case let me recommend the following gift from Microsoft: Windows XP Mode (Hope that's still supported for Win8...)
Or can't you just downgrade to Win7? It's still possible to get Civ3 and CivAssist to run smothly on Win7 with the ordinary RunAsAdministrator and backward compatibility mode settings.

(I still have a couple of fully functional PCs from 2001-2010 in my basement, just to make sure I can still play Civ3 in 20 years from now... :D)

Haha... that is a fine idea.

I could still be playing Gettysburg if I had thought of that.

I've re-sent the save. Failing that, I can reset the password and forward it to Lanzelot (to reset the password, I have to play the turn).

I'm OK with this game in 8.1. I'd given up but it's good to see it to the end.

In game:
The Prussian defence was quicker than expected.

English troops withdraw back to their ships.
It seems that the rest of the world is happy to live under French control.
We have tried our best to throw back the evil Napoleon but he has fooled the Europeans into believing he is on their side and we are the enemy.

All that remains is for us to make sure the evil French never again land on British shores.:old:

Perhaps the Europeans will wake up when France turns on them.
