Well, but then the Orc chariots should be more expensive or goblins' cheaper. There should be game balance, so I can't see why it got changed.
 
Only if the cost is there to reprosent the power of a unit and not (as I think it should be) to represent the actual quantaty of the factors of production required to construct it.
 
I have another question regarding PCX-graphics for the Civiliopedia:

Now that I have saved it as an indexed image it shows with all magenta background colour instead of white.

What to do ???

Other greenskins won't associate with Hobgoblins, so none of the Orc or Goblin units should be present in their army. So I used the Uruk-Hai units to fill in their infantry, since they look least like the green orc and goblin units used for the Ironclaw Orcs and Red Eye Goblins and I've seen several Hobgoblin models painted an almost brownish color.

And IIRC, "IIRC" stands for "if I remember correctly."

Out of curiosity, have you any source associating the Hung with Slanesh or the Dark Elves? I have seen no such thing, but haven't really spent a whole lot of time researching the Hung, so I would appreciate it if you could point out to me where this association is made.

I'd recommend the Black Orc Boyz as the GA unit for the Orcs, as it was the arrival of Black Orcs in the Orc tribes that provided them with their greatest warriors and leaders. If anything marks a GA for Orcs, I think it would be when the bigger, meaner and tougher Black Orcs began joining their ranks.

And I like having the Boar Chariot with +2HP - it makes the Orcs tougher than goblins, which they should be. Plus, aren't the Goblin mounted units and chariots all given 1 more movement than their Orc counterparts? Goblins on wolves are faster, Orcs on Boars are tougher.

OK, about the Chaotic tribes and Norsca and so on, I'd just like to remind everyone that this is not a mod of WHFB 6th Ed., it's a mod of the whole WHF universe, and as Games Workshop has changed their minds a couple of times, this mean that some stuff is now incorrect versus 6th Ed, but it's still correct to older versions. :)
This is especially true for Norsca, which wasn't as chaotic in older versions of the world than what they are now.

@mrtn Thanks, I forgot :)

@Gomurr. WOlf Chariots only have 2 move, not 3 and since orcs and goblins are so similar, why should their chariots be better. I recommend 60 shields for the boar chariots. And yes I can agree with GA for the Black orc boyz, but they do get black orcs with Smithing although this is a very different unit both regarding appearance and fighting skill.
I think the orcs and goblins are in a bit mess now. Do not take it the wrong way - all compliments for you who have made this, but I think it's still room for improvements:
- The goblin spearman looks very different from the new (hob)goblin worker.
- goblins only have access to orcs?? While Orc only have access to blackorcs which looks totally different to the black orc boyz. I think the (black) older black orc looks good so we should't let it go.
- Then Goblins only have access to Orc boyz, not Orcs which is also strange.

It is after all a bit unnatural to split Orcs and Goblins since they're one in the WH world. But I reckon you guys already have given this topic much though, and it's a matter of using the units available.
It was agood improvement with the division of chariots and cavalry though.

I really hope the squigs would be born - big orange with lots of teeth (creature control)

I have a huge army of Orcs and Goblins for WH, so I am concerned about the green fellows :)
 
I have a solution to the Ork - Goblin gfx issue.
Orks use aaglo`s new units, and Goblins use the old orc units (not the Uruk -hai), made by ED, they look like small, man-sized orcs, the kind that would actually take orders from a goblin.
So we would have:
-Goblin archer to both.
-Wolf and boar issue stays as it is (or redo the stats, I dunno)
-Goblin spearman for both, upgrading to aaglo`s orc spearman for Orks, and upgrading to the old orc spearman for Goblins.
-Old orc warrior(shirt, scimitar) upgrading to old orc infantry (more armor,big axe) for Goblins, and aaglo`s black orc warrior (sword) upgrading to aaglo`s black orc boyz (axe).
-possibly adding the green wyvern from D&D mod for the Orks, as they have very small civ-color markings, and the color fits perfectly. Goblins keep the old one. (same thing with the red one going to Lahmia, and Sylvannia keeping the old, black one).
-the siege weapons, and other stuff stays as it is.
Also, put back the old Goblin Worker! CD can have the Hobgoblin!

@Frosty, please send me a photo of that army :)

@Gomurr, if you don`t mind using the Uruk gfx in the WH mod, than you wouldn`t mind if some of the chaos civs (if those get accepted by the mod team) would use a human-skin-colored Uruks. Or would you?

@mrtn... what was that? I don`t get it. Are you saying it can be done?

It is I, Jahola. I ask a question that may have been answered once before. Regrettably, I have not found it on this wonderful site. I have a terrible problem with this:

It happened to I just prior to my glorious discovery of: CROP ROTATION

I have downloaded the latest patches, according to my advisors, of course. It would be wonderful for any advice to this dilemma.

Yes, you must go to WH2/Art/EraSplash and change the aaglo_industrial.pcx to aaglo_industrious.pcx
 
@Stormrage: Interesting Suggestions for the Orks and Gobbos :)
I have packed away my army for the moment. Can perhaps find some pictures of it. It's a 10.000 pointer (or more)
 
Thanks, Frosty, but its not really neccesary if its not convinient for you, the thing is, I`ve never played the actuall board game, so I was just curious.
And yeah, my suggs are always interesting, even though some of them make me sound like I`ve fallen on my head when I was a baby :D

A bit off topic but a funny idea - an ork archer-type unit - Gobbo thrower :lol:

Hi Jahola, welcome to CFC! :wavey:
Go to C:\Program Files\Infogrames Interactive\Civilization III\Conquests\Scenarios\WH2\Text and open pediaicons.txt
Replace the text "aaglo_industrious.pcx" with "aaglo_industrial.pcx" two times. The easiest way to find them are to go to Edit and click Find... or use Ctrl F. :)
