Warhammer Fantasy Mod 2.1

Bah, I`d make all them lazy bastards read all the threads, the preview of the original WH one, the preview of the original one`s units (was there such a thread or am I imagening history again?), the original one, this one, the discussion one, and the Skaven one. I`d spare them of all the WH units threads, tho :p

Its always in the first post, the DL, the patches... Or atleast in the first few :)

I must ask, has anyone ever thought of making a 40k mod?
 
Yes, that mod has been thought of atleast three times, but every time the mod was disbanded due various reasons. But there is still hope for someone to create a some kind of WH40K-mod (there are quite a lot of units from that world already, mainly various space marines and orks).
 
Finally got the new version installed (via a mate with broadband and a burner) :goodjob:

The WH2.0a seems more difficult than WH2.0 for some reason ... and I prefer the previous Dwarf LH but that's just a matter of taste I guess.

Also enjoy the Egyptian-ish music ... and those blasted rats, wow are they rough :)

The Chaos Dwarfs look great ... I especially like the way that they have a lessor race doing all the menial work for them LOL.

Anyway just had to take the time to congratulate everyone involved :D
 
A word of warning, 2.1a was Mr. Do's thing, and he hasn't updated it since release.
And be nice to that friend, you might want to use his broadband again, when we release the two new civs, Skaven and Beastmen. :)
 
Various updates are combined in a single download - the 2.20 patch. Now there are only 5 (+2optional - aaglo`s advisors, and magic bombardment version) downloads -

-the mod
-the patch
-the expansion
-the 2.20 patch (mini-expansion really, wait, 30MB isn`t that mini when you think about it :hmm:)
-the resource shadows patch

so now the new expansion is coming out (bout 50MB), I belive it will include the latest resourceshadows patch, the magic bombardment vesion and possibly make aaglo`s advisors official (why not?). So you`ll have 5 downloads for the complete mod.

As everyone seemed to like the change to the Magicians we'll make that official. aaglo's advisors will stay as they are.
And of course I want to avoid forgetting the resources this time. ;) Especially since there are changes to them.
 
Alright Played the original warhammer 1 then 2.01 ... will have to dust off the copy of CivIII and install it on my new computer just to play this mod... already tired of Civ IV....

When are you going to do the 2 new races 50meg update I might just wait for that.

I need a bigger monitor ... I do like the zoom in of Civ IV... but it almost seems like Civ Light. Its pretty amazing when they release a game Civ IV and Civ III is still a totaly viable game with all the mods.... I guess the Civ IV mods are hurt by the lack of 3d unit modders? Damn I would like to see a warhammer 40k mod done as good as Warhammer.... Like I said I played the 2.01 version hope you guys did as well as Embryo, that was/is a great mod.

Found possible error

Playing Khemri I found I could not upgrade to War Chariot to Skeleton Chariot

Also about the Chariots is it correct that they can move 3 and a horse unit only 2 ???
 
Well, the khemri-chariot is described as light chariot, so it's quite describing that it's a fast unit. Also, the move 3 sort of shows what the khemri chariots can do in the tabletop game (with a bit of magic assistance).

Also thinking about atmosphere ... is it possible to add sounds to the upgrade command?

If so ... it would add a lovely evil touch if living units screamed when converted to undead status :evil:

So it is more like Warhammer Fantasy Mod 3.0, considering how much it has changed since Mr. Do first posted 2.1. Might it be more advisable to open a new thread for this big update, or maybe organize the list of updates to a more orderly fashion? Not that it is hard to follow now, but it might clear confusion for those who download it for the first time. You know for those of us who do not have the patients to read all the text in front of us. :lol: Then again I am fairly certain you new that already. :D
 
Hey guys, I'm sorry if this has been posted before, but... I downloaded the WH download and transferred it to my laptop, and tried to install it, but every time i try it stopps at the black pearl death flc and wont continue. Error F21c (Or something like that. I'd greatly appreciate it if someone could help me out. Thanx
 
I'll try downloading again (this was already the second download i tried) When I tried to install it again (my second time d-loading and installing) it got a little bit furrther, but still didn't finish. :-(
