WarNes: Quick and Easy 1936 Nes

From Britain
To France

I meant a political and military alliance. I am willing to allow you to propose the exact terms.

From Britain
To U.S.A

The reason I wanted to know is that Britain, as a Great Power of Europe, needs to know what powers it should take into account in it's isolationism, and what opportunities are avaliable. If, hypothetically, the U.S intended to break the Monroe Doctrine by moving into Europe ,the British would be more justified in, say, invading Argentina.

OOC: I don't want the U.S doing what it did in OTL.

OOC: The Monroe Doctrine has nothing to do with Europe! The Monroe Doctrine prohibits foreign powers interfering with the Americas!

Get your facts straight, Mr. Chamberlain!

To Prime Minister Chamberlain
From President Roosevelt

We have no reason to go to Europe, we are content to stay in our nation filled with food, people, and cash. All Europe can offer is the chance to drag us into a war we do not desire. Especially with your so called Anti Comintern alliance you are creating.... that will not bode well for Europe I think.

The Monroe Doctrine, if you want to call it that, will stay out of European affairs. So to help your small niece understand what we are trying to say.... Yes we will be in isolation.

I would point it said the U.S would stay neutral in wars between European powers.

Uh huh, and the US has meddled around in Europe since then. So I'd think that part of the Monroe Doctrine would kind of be struck.

Most historians tend to see the Monroe Doctrine as intended primarily against European expansionism in the Americas anyway.

Edit: Damn, Chamberlain, you're sure showing some backbone now. ;)

Captain2, I'd like to refer you to the fact I proposed an anti-Communist alliance to every power in Europe. As you're likely going to get Italy, can you respond?

Responding to Lightfang, circa this time the only example of the US in European wars was World War I. I hope for an isolationist US for fairly clear reasons, and if the U.S reaffirms the Monroe Doctrine it makes it harder politically for them to get away with war.

Though now I think about it this NES may be too abstracted for that to apply.

Okay, here's the terms. We offer a purely defensive alliance, should another nation attack either of us, the other one will go to war against the aggressor. Should one of us attack another nation, the other has no obligation to go to war against the attacked nation.

Welcome Captain. My friend is going to take Communist China, so we can start. Orders due Monday then?

To:Britain
From:Italy

We agree that the spread of Communism must be halted, however we must enquire what the terms are of the treaty before officially signing anything

what about it?

Oh, and one other thing, do you guys want 6 or 4 month turns?

seasons could work well

While to be honest I would have preferred offensive&defensive, that alliance is accepted.

The terms are an agreement to defend any member of the Alliance or any nation on Russia's borders from attack by the Soviet Union.
