I had a girlfriend that got raped. The relationship did not last much longer. It is very difficult on couples when one of them is raped.

Rape does not feel good to the victim. Usually they are very nervous and uptight, making forceful entry even more painful, not to mention the lack of any lubrication.

In our society (and in most, I expect) sex has been primed to be important. For this reason, events around sex are triggered as being important. You'll know this, because if your bum is accidently brushed in a hallway, you notice, but not really if your arm is brushed.

The trauma of rape is hardwired much more easily into traumatic memories, making flashbacks and the like more common. Basically, the entire event (or things leading up to the event) can become phobias.

My wife works for a sexual assault center, and rape can screw people up for life.

Yes sex is natrual but also enjoyable, if some guy shoved a banana down my thoat I'd be feaked out but would go on with my life, and enjoy the taste of the banana.
