Welcome New Members

hello...have played the other 3 till they got really boring...which I don't think ever did..lol..since this one is a little different will take me awhile to get used to. See ya..

I have been playing Civ since Civ 2. Ans have played one game of Civ I.
Civ2 was the very first game I played on a computer, bought it on a wim. 10 years ago, havn't stoped it various iterations.

I am an average player. I like a fast game. Unfortunately playing at higher levels seems too much like work.

Civ IV is outstanding, The one area the I find fustrating is the diplomacy.
I have never been able to get someone to declare war on a third party.
of join me in an alliance. Since I seldom use deplomacy as a strategy, this is not a problem for me.

The one thing I dislike is technology trading. It is little more than a cheat for the computer. I usually shut it off.

Nonetheless I am looking forward to the Update.

Hello everyone, I am a longtime civver, starting with Civ2 back in '96. I currently own and play Civ2MGE, SMAC, Civ3 with all the trimmings, and Civ4. I have ghosted on this site for a several years now, and have finally registered so as to be able to post suggestions for mods that I find interesting.

I'm sure I have nothing new to say here, but the system asked me to introduce myself. I'm a noble-level player and like it, as I find the more difficult levels unsatisfying. I can't imagine how anyone could survive at Deity. I prefer larger maps and always, always try to ban nukes. I hate them.

I also like board strategy games, the favourite being Republic of Rome. I've also had several outbidded attempts to buy Kremlin on eBay.

I'm a history teacher from Finland and often find the game a good way to connect with my students. I'll probably have less time to play in the future, since I'll be a father in October. I came to CF mostly for some advice and downloads.

I do have one opinion. It should be possible to build canals for ships to pass. It's sometimes very annoying to go round and round continents because a peninsula is just too wide to penetrate with one city.

Hello everyone

I think that civ is a good game and i advice to play The mod TAM2.1

Im an active multiplayer i like playing online this is so real hehe:king: Gilgeamesh sad

Hello

I think that if you introduce a new worker action : build walls

these walls should became impassble only to specials units or can be destroyed by artillery
I know that this will demand work from the begining or can it be in a patch
I think this will enhance very very strongly the game
Who found Civ game can add this i guess plz answer me civ founders :)

Hey there, i go by the name of Doom on many games, (Freelancer, HW2, CSS) but i just recently started playing Civ 3 again. I tried Civ 4 a few months ago, but i found it very disappointing, so i will now start making maps for Civ 3 again, and maybe some of them will be good enough so that others like.

My maps are usually 100% symmetrical, with round and boxy land formtions, i also like to make the civs work for their survival very early on. So hope to cya all as often as i can, i have a clan to run in Freelancer though, so that may take a lot of time from me, but i'll be sure to check here now and then and bring new maps once in a while for you to try. ;)

Hello fresh meat - if you ever tire of cIV.. pop down into the Off Topic area- we promise to not play rough

Been visiting off and on for sometime, but this is my first post. An avid Civ3 player, I would upgrade to Civ4, but I dont think my current laptop will support it. :crazyeye:

I found CivIII two or three years ago and found it too easy. Just be the first to research Monarchy and see what I mean. I purchased Civ IV and found myself addicted to it. I still haven't found the egg yet or the majic pill, like Monarchy in CivIII although building the Oracle and researching Alphabet and Liberalism first comes close. However, I have still lost. On the Prince level currently, found Noble too easy.

Hello I'm glad, to take part in this Site. I live in Ukraine, so I not very good speak English, and ,sometimes, look in a dictionary. I dont interesting for CivIV, becose it not go in my computer

I'm new to this posting thing, but I am having some problems with Civ IV that I can't resolve with the manual. I am going to check out Civ4 - General discussions to see if I can get help there unless someone suggests a different place.

hello then,i got into civ 111 wen i got depressed about 4 years ago, fixed the depression but cant shake off the civ habit, can play for 12 hrs at a time.only play at regent level, but looking 4ward to playing online as it will limit how long i play for and give me my life back.the main thorn in my side is not being able to lock units,as i like to torch cities and make full use of my slave labour.spend half my life setting workers 2 it-daggnabit

im having problems downloading maps from the civ111 site,im trying 2 get the aincient med map at the mo but it just keeps coming up as corrupted.any ideas?

The thingie above said I should drop in here and say hello, so:

Hello everybody!

Been lurking around for a while (and playing civ for quite a while longer), and figured I might as well register, so now I'm officially a CivFanatic! At least I have something to show for all those hours I should have spent studying ;).

Hello!

My name is Tambourmajor, and I'm a Civaholic. Well, that's not my real name, but I do play civ since Civ1, since the times when MS DOS was considered the hall mark of OS technology.

Unless I feel I have something informative to say, I'm not going to post much here. I'm still a lurker at heart... :ninja:
