WH Discussion Thread

he has a tail. It's behind the cloak (so you can't see it that well), but it's certainly there.

BTW, here's a preview of the fidget animation. Sounds, please :)

It seems that grey seers usually have two types of horns, both straight ones and curly caprigor-like ones.
He also looks a bit too muscled and shiny.
I like the rest though, and I can look for sounds whenever you get on MSN. ;)

Any more suggestions for the skaven UU?

Thanks Stormy I missed you guys too and I wish I could be here more often especially with this new patch but I finished Law school and I must get a job soon. That leaves little time for civ...at least untill I finish with the interviews.

About that shaggoth-slaying-worker... I had a similar experience in my latest game.

The arabyans had built the Thieves guild charter.
I attacked the agent (a 5.1.1. unit, veteran with 4 hp) with an ogre irongut (a 12.6.1. unit, veteran with 5 hp). I lost! :) (that's even better than losing to a spearman with a tank).

Maybe it was Mr.Bond!

Any chance you`d make the grey-seer as mrtn said? Not so bulky & shiny? :)

I want to ask one other thing concerning the upcoming patch (its like a mini-expansion! :wow:), will Araby get the improved versions of Ripptide`s arabic spearman and swordsman?

Wonderful units--great job, and good work on the additions , like the oasis. I was wondering if the Grand Theologist unit was on your list of additions/corrections. (it doesnt work as is)

Also- i had posted earlier about War weariness for Monarchy government civs. Without going into a long explanation-- maybe you can include a small or great wonder or another building to help reduce WW?(for monarchy civs only?). I have played a long game as the empire and made notes if you need feedback--but to say the least, WW was a big handicap. I can email or PM my observations if you want.

Looking forward to the new release-- never played a Rat before-lol. :goodjob: :)

@Stormrage: I've already nagged aaglo about possible grey seer changes over MSN, it doesn't look like that anymore, and I think it looks better now. :)

@Imperial: Tarnhelm's Keep is Monarchy-only, and alleviates WW. :)
I don't know what to do about the Grand Theogonist...

@all: I suddenly remembered that the ToT Goblin Miner has horns, so I'm trying to convert that to a Beastman worker atm.

There are worker actions, but only for the NE and SE directions. I'll try to mirror them and then see if they work somewhat for the rest of the directions.
This unit, BTW, is my all time favourite ToT unit. :)
So, does it look good, or does it suck?

Some older Grey Seer models have only one set of horns (namely curved, ram-like ones).

I agree he looks shiny. He'd need a fuzzier texture.

Hey, MRTN, I have some horns and some radical morphs for my AIko 3 figure (including one set that converts her to a guy, and another set that's makes a good beast/demon head), and I can make a beastman settler for you in a fairly short time (right after I get done converting and rendering my General Beatrix unit)... Say, no later than friday.... I'll try to get a preview up ASAP.

Edit: Here's the preview...

That sounds great, Hikaro!
I've just spent these last 5 hours converting that Goblin Miner, it should work good as a beastman worker. So watch out for Broom Action(TM)!

I think that both those goblin miner (?!?!) and hikaro's beast settler would work great :) (especially so, that it would mean that I wouldn't have to work on those too ;) J/K.

And the grey seer is now a bit edited (less shiny and he has smaller shoulders - not those arnold schwarzenegger-pumpkins). Also, his clothes are dark green instead of that light-brownish "shiny stuff". And his horns are whiter. Overall, he's a mean SOB (pretty much like me ;) )
