WH Discussion Thread

Yeah! I was thinking about putting skaven in skavenblight (dur!).

the most logical place to put beastmen IMHO would be in the tutoberg forest (sp?) but the empire already has sylvania and westerland stealing land off it.

What do you think would happen if you put them in athel loren? it would weaken the wood elves quite a bit (who I think are too powerfull on alot of maps), then we would have to see if they spread into other areas as well. If they don't we might have to add another pass into the empire on scytails if it changes the AI growth for them.

What do you think?

in storm of chaos, wood elves and beastmen had thier own mini map, although watching a beastman vs wood elves battle is quite amusing, all they do is chase each other arounf in circles...

 I remember, back in the day, like 10 months ago, when we were bombarded by lots and lots of little patches :mischief:

I think the Beastie Boys shouldn`t have Woodworking :)

Mrtn - can you please post some more screenies?

Is the Gutter Runner a "swordsman unit"? 2MP and 7att??
No, it's not a swordsman, you get the Nightrunner in that position. The Gutterrunner comes at Military Training, like most other 7-attack units.

The Beastmen has Drakwald as capital, but where you'd put them on a map depends a lot on the map. One idea, for a world map, is to put them in the "Antarctic", that continent is as full of demons as the north pole.

yeah, but beastmen would do nothing thier, that filling it with barbarian deamons wouldn't, and it is ment to be full of deamons not beastmen. Plus what about Old World maps?

hmm, I am not convinced, looking at it from a gameplay perspective, we have no chaotic factions in the old world, and I think that would be more fun to play than playing on the antartic, plus the growth down thier would be rather limited right?

Just so you guys don't think I've forgotten... :mischief:

I'll be animating this week.
Hope the shield emblem passes quality control. :)

UNKY CAM FOR MAYOR!

F'real.

Just checking, but the shield emblem follows the curvature of the shield right? It looks very flat at the moment. Great unit otherwise (The current Swordsman unit will remain fitting in with the style Sylvania and Bretonnia's backwards troops very nicely, I think)...

Looks great, but how visible would the skull be at civ-scale?
That's a fair question. Maybe it would be better to use a "bare headed" skull?

But it does indeed look great. :)
