But he has celtic pants. The celtic dude has celtic pants. And pretty much nothing else. Like a slave. Bondsmen are like slaves, no? Plus, they all look the same to me ;)

I intend to use the Celtic Swordsman as a norse in a mod or two. Is it that wrong? They are (as is this one), fantasy mods. Should he go to Albion then?

Yes, it's wrong. That helmet is very clearly celtic (and roman-inspired, too), as is the shield.

He fits Albion better than the Norse, but that doesn't mean that he should/will be added to Albion.

If its a fantasy mod, I'd say screw our history and go with what looks cool.

Being based on it doesnt mean every little detail has to be accurate, hell the mod already makes shortcuts and allowances for the sake of gameplay, why not add something in just cause it fits?

I dont have much of an opinion either way as im not particularly familiar with the model, nor do i think its really a big deal either way but since its stirring up so much conversation i wanted to give my two cents and I just think the reasons for including it are much more pursuasive than the reasons given for not doing it. Its a shame people get so anal about this kind of thing and go with whats "accurate" as opposed to what works/looks good.

There's a bunch of units that look good. Space ships, for example. I mean, they have neat laser attacks, so what could be wrong with that?

Yes, the mod makes allowances for game play, but I won't add something "just cause it fits", if it doesn't fit!

Shortcuts are one thing, but adding stupid stuff is another.

Anyone who doesn't like it can play the 40K mod instead. :p

edit: crosspost with kai.

we may have both had a similar viewpoint, but your reply was better...
...although as it took 4 mins more to write I am not suprised:mischief:
Spoiler :
No offence ment by the way ;)

yeah, it'd be like giving a dwarf unit to an empire civ and saying he's just small, or an ork and saying he's gengreous.
they guy doesnt look norse so why should the Norse get it?

i suggested that a while ago too, i dont know if anyone pay any attention to it, but i like that even better than the celt warrior instead of haveing a thrall just have a bondsman (gallic swordsman) and the warlord enslaves bondsman instead of thralls

and also mrtn are the dwarfs gonna have the dromon instead of the war galley?

edit: maybe they should also get this as the regular galley

Wasn't there another Minoan galley made a while ago (With a Bull's Head on the sail, which I made as the Chaos Dwarf gelley)..?

Units don't need to be added just for the sake of being different all the time... some computers still have a hard time running civ! Technically, there really should be a line of Dwarf ships made of metal (According to a White Dwarf, there's never been a Dwarf ship made of wood)...

Ships? Sounds like a job for aaglo or Orthanc! :D

I haven`t played Norsca in a looong time. Is the Firaxis Celt in it or not? The warlord enslaves to thralls, right? And they should be represented by the Firaxian. So where does the bondsman come in? I`m confused.
