I`d give him an axe and a shield (for the amblem), and the original doesn`t look chubby, just compare it to some Chaos Warrior pictures. I`d also loose the daemon knee-pads, makes the halberdier look more original

I profere the second but as stormy said the kneepads should be ditched, I also agree about the armour being darker. Awsome job though!!!

I think that the reason that he looks chubby to some people is that the arms are a little on the small side. IMHO you could try beefing them up a bit. He certainly looks good though.

OK, I'll stick with the first model. Adds a bit more diversity from the Chaos Halberdier model.
- I'll change the color of the chaos star to brighten it up & make it more visible at civ-scale. How is the rest of the coloring? (Dark red = civ-color)
- I'll also try and beef up his arms & expand his shoulders a bit.
- I'll give the guy a shield instead of 2 weapons (& put the chaos symbol on the shield)
- Should I give this guy an axe or a morningstar?
- Any other suggestions?

I'm at the office now, but can try and make the changes and post an update later.

I think I saw more CW`s with axes than morningstars, but if you find an exceptionaly wicked m-star, then sure, why not?

Ah, yes, the office - the best place to mod! (I don`t have an office yet, thats why I don`t have any mods out there).

I think that axes are a bit more Chaos Warrior, whereas morning stars are more Chaos Marauder. A shield obviously has advantages since it can show an insignia and I don't think it's any less authentic than the two weapons option. I guess it just depends on what looks better on the model. I think that we can trust to your judgement since you've won one unit of the month for WH and come so close with a second.

I think that both versions of the fur collar are too high. It should lie down over his shoulders, not stand up, that makes him look like a russian lady...
If you can't get it to lie down I'd rather lose it.

Did I say it looks cool yet? I probably forgot that, but it does.

Like mrtn said, the collar of the cloack (?) looks a bit out-of-place.

If you find a decent morning-star, and feel confident on animating it, I would prefer that over ever-boring axe (we already have seen plenty of those for sure, a bit of variation would be great).

Chaos Warrior looks bad ass of course. I agree the fur cape needs to be much lower / less protruding, though bigger shoulders may fix it too.
