Nice. A vampire unit. More Undead! More Undead! They look great.

At the moment I'm working on a saurus warrior unit... I'll put up a preview a bit later on...

Kinboat is currently working on lizardmen units... of course the more the better, though it could be a loss if you two make exactly the same lizards (maybe PM him to see what's going on and avoid duplicates).

Are there any previews of the units posted? Aside from this thread I mean.

I don't quite understand which units you are talking about?

I was asking about the Lizardmen. I wanted to know if a preview had been posted in any other thread or forum. I saw the ones earlier in this thread, so I was looking for something more recent.

Sorry if I sound ignorant, but what is Warhammer, is it a book? I like the sound of this mod by the way.

I'm not an expert, but I played a little. It's kinda like a RPG and board game. I played a game with minitures on a landscape type map. It was pretty cool. I never understood the basis of the story other than it has technology, magic, elves, dwarves and all kinds of monsters.

So it's kinda like LOTR except a board game, I see. When is this mod expected? And sorry to be off topic, although this is in the C&C forum, so, how do you leaderhead animators make leaderheads? I need to know how to use an existing image and alter it (it's called cut 'n paste, right?) because that's my solution to the Biblical leaderhead thing, although a little bit different than you'd expect. It's a secret, he-he-he!

The technology is more advanced than LotR and I think there might be more to it than a board game. I think there is a actual RPG like D&D, but I'm not to sure. I geuss since I'm not the expert I should just wait for the experts to post.

As far as an ETA? It is past the scheduled release that I remember, but I think the modder is still waiting on some units or something. It sounds like it's just about ready.

It sounds like it would be more advanced, so is gunpowder involved? And I thought it would be more than just a simple boardgame. But tjedge1, aren't ya curious on how I'm gonna solve my leaderhead dilema? If not than give me a quick "no, I dont give a rat's @$$" That would inform me.

I am curious about your leaderhead dilema, but I won't ask in this thread. I'll head over to that thread and bug you there.
BTW: I think gunpowder is involved.

Here doth be a view of my saurus-warrior

@Celeborn
This look very cool :) although I've seen recent Kinboat's previews (not posted) and he made something that looks bascially the same... so, maybe PM him, so you could exchange info on what units are being done etc. On the other hand, even if there are duplicate saurus, I will find a way to use them (advancement to bigger saurus etc.)

Warhammer Battle is a table-top fantasy battle game. The is no board or one set of units/rules. You collect metal & plastic miniatures to build an army and the play with them on the table (possibly with grass, terrain etc.). WH has about 20 years tradition and is the best selling game of this type.
Warhammer 40.000k is a similar game, that happens in far future, with space orks, chaos marines, tanks etc.
Warhammer Fantasy Role Play is a role-playing game based on Warhammer Battle.
There are other games that happen in the same world ie. Warmaster (like Battle, with smaller miniatures - larger scale battles), Epic (same, but for WH40K), Necromunda (gang wars in WH40K world), Blood Bowl (brutal sports game with fantasy teams), Mordheim (pit fighting i think), Battlefleet Gothic (WH40K in space) + some more I don't remember.
There are books as well, ie. the Slayer series, computer games (ie. Shadow of the Horned Rat), and collectible card games.

Warhammers basic world is reflection of late medieval times of our world. There is gunpowder, but it's used basically only by the dwarves and the Empire (sort of Holy Roman Empire).

ETA was delayed so many times... I go to uni now, so I have less time, but I should be able to release the mod this week.

Wow! There is more to War Hammer than my little mind was aware. Thank you for clearing that up for me at least. As I was comparing it to a board game, there really wasn't a board per say. My friend who owned the miniatures also owned a plastic foldable landscape. It was huge and we had to play on the floor. I was not aware there was so much to this game. I'm starting to get more interested now. I'll have to go scan the stores and find something on this.:scan:

www.warhammer.com is a good place to start, though big, well-equipped shops offer more physical experience :)
as for the board, well you can play on anything really, since movement is in inches. you can play on foldable terrain, table, or realistic miniature terrain (that's best).

BTW @ Celeborn, what software do you use? the legs look like poser raptor though I am only guessing.

Here are the previews I have so far...

This would be the Saurus
