All of them really but I tried to not vote for everyone

Bohemia while not my favourite, could be an interesting pick and focusing on one age, it's a good opportunity

personally I think the Novgorod Republic would be way more interesting than Kievan Rus, but that’s just me

Give me Toungoo, Swahili, Venice, Georgia, and some better Maghrebi representation than Songhai. Maybe bring back the Mapuche too. Also the Pashtun region could use something, and hopefully more inspired than the Timurids.

Oh and Margaret of Denmark, queen of everything.

Toungoo and Ayutthaya being equal rivals. what shall be Toungoo UU?
if Modern Burma (Kaungbaung) should be Age III.

It would be awesome to have the Taíno, Muisca and Tupi from South America. I would leave Mapuche as a Modern Era Native South American alternative to Modern Era Brazil, Colombia and Argentina.

After all, the Mapuche are also known for fighting the Argentinians and Chileans during the 19th and early 20th centuries.

I'd be fine with modern Mapuche, even though they don't work quite as well with VII's idea of exploration versus modern civs. Although if they were modern, I wouldn't anticipate or want Argentina alongside them.

I am anticipating South America to operate more like Southeast Asia than Europe/India/China, where they hit all the "big" regions per era and expect people to pivot between them, instead of outright providing 3-era paths for each region. If I were to guess what that may look like:

* Antiquity: Taino/Arawak, Guarani (likely over Tupi), maybe Norte Chico
* Exploration: Inca, Mapuche, maybe Muisca
* Modern: Gran Colombia, Brazil, maybe Argentina.

Possible SEA layout for comparison:

* Antiquity: Khmer, Samoa, maybe Srivijaya (as "Malaysia" rep)
* Exploration: Dai Viet, Burma, Majapahit
* Modern: Siam, Philippines, maybe Indonesia/Brunei

That way you get the full spread of representation (one Peruvian civ, one Brazilian civ, one Paraguay/Uruguay civ, one Colombian civ, etc. etc.) without too much overlap. Then, maybe, if they are still adding civs after that, they could slide in extra era representation.

Scotland's Exploration Era unique ability should reward them for founding a single city in distant lands, which gets deleted at the end of era.

Also, I know this will never happen, but I'd pay a stupid amount of money for three Ages of Celts

I think your odds of getting two are very good. At the very least Celts/Picts -> Scotland -> Britan. It remains to be seen if Ireland manages to squeak in somewhere.

List of very expected civs:

Antiquity:
1. Goths
2. Gauls
3. Huns

Exploration:
1. Byzantium
2. Edo Japan
3. Aztec
4. Portugal

Modern:
1. Netherlands
2. Gran Colombia
3. Ottomans

Contemporary (expansion):
USA, Canada, Brazil, Argentina, Great Britain, Germany, France, Italy, Russian Federation, Chinese Republic, Japan, Bharat India, Saudi Arabia, Australia, Nigeria, South Africa

But looking at Civ7 initial roster and DLCs, Firaxis really likes unexpected civs this time.

I’d say more likely
Gauls
Ireland
Britain
(woth scots being the maybe)
Let Ireland unlock America as well to avoid implications

A few new civs I'd like to see;

Timurids - although I voted for the Sassanians, I feel they are more antiquity. The Timurids restored central Asia as an intellectual hub, not to mention the fusing of Persian & Turkic culture together works very well with the game's themes.

Kanem-Borno - one of Africa's longest lasting empires and one of it's largest. Could be trade, militaristic or science focused.
Swahili - An exploration era successor to Aksum (thematically, not literally). Had historic influence over Buganda too.

Chimú - early rival of the Inca, and was an important naval power in the region. We've never seen a maritime focused native American civ.

Ireland - land of saints, scholars and poets. Could be focused on monasticism though a bardic school (sgoiltech/scoilteach) would a great unique building too. Ireland wasn't very urbanised but many Gaelic kings had influence over the Viking settlements in Ireland, using Viking fleets in their wars. A unique ability involving city states could work well to reflect this.

The Sassanids were the continuation of the Achaemenid Empire. In my opinion, they would be a great pick for an original Iranian civilization in the Exploration Age, and the community has asked for some Sassanian representation for some time. The Timurids were Turco-Mongolian with Persian cultural influences and the Mongols are already in the Exploration Age making the Timurids' inclusion kinda unnecessary.

Sassanian representations should still go in the Ancient Era - they fought with both Rome and Aksum. In Civ 6 we had Macedon, Sparta and Greece. There's no reason we can't have both Sassanids and Achaemenids in the same era.

I disagree that the Timurids are too similar to the Mongols - the Timurids could have a trade/science trait - and perhaps the unique ability of reviving a unique abilty from an antiquity era civ.

Seljuk is rarely discussed here, but I think it's a perfect fit for the era transition system. It’s a Middle Eastern/Central Asian civ that can serve as a bridge between a ton of ancient civs from these regions (Persia, Assyria, Babylon, and possible Scythian and Xiongnu civs) and modern Persian and Turkish civs like the Qajars and Ottomans.
