Well inventing pizza is a win in my book. :)

America invented pizza. It's ancestor was imported into America by Italian immigrants, and their descendants invented the pizza. Within a few years the invention traveled back into Italy where it exists today as well... which is notable because before mass communication stuff didn't travel so quickly. Which is why they just discovered edible foods in Britain. Before 1970 Brits subsisted on rocks, and used tea bags, they did.

I keep seeing Naples, Italy popping up as the origin. I guess it depends what you consider a pizza or not. Either way I'm glad for it.

Actually pizza originated in Rome.

I'm under the impression that the only edible food in Britain is Indian. :p

Pakistan is a populous nation and rarely included in games. Same for the Philippines.
I wouldn't see them included as modern nations (that's the subject of the poll), but as not-modern civ I would be very happy to see them (Harappa and Tondo Empires for example)

It's not pizza, it's a similar flatbread dish that's from Naples. Like I said it was reinterpreted in america and spread back shortly after.

'Modern pizza evolved from similar flatbread dishes in Naples, Italy, in the 18th or early 19th century.'

I can't link to the wiki page on my phone but it's on there.

Youmean focaccia? That's like barely related to pizza.. they didn't have tomatoes back then either.
