the mori ori, they were the first inhabitants (some cliam celts were there but there just dumb) the mori ori got eaten by the maori who in turn got screwed by the english

Not true, that is Nineteenth Century Eugenicists stories and is a shame they are still teaching this. The Moriori were Maori who got swept off to the Chathams they was never a Moriori in New Zealand proper until Modern times. That said, they do have no chance seeing as how there were never more than a few hundred of them and there are now only like fifty or so (And no full-bloods).
______________

Although, I don't know how much of a chance the civfanatic stands.

I think it would help if Quebec was a country to begin with, which it isn't and won't be. ;)
Civ haven't to be countries. Iroquois. And we will be a country. We should be a country. We have to be a country. We must be a country. :twitch:
On topic: Israel : Everybody says they will be in. Why? they were not in civ2, civ3, PTW, Conquest (are they in conquest? don't think so, but I don't have it). Why would they be in? OK, they gave 2 religions, but Italy gave the world lots of culture, and it wont be in. And they "lead" one of those two religions (OK, it is vatican, but vatican is in Italy).

thing is, they werent a civlization to begin with; they were a confederation fo assorted civlizations, or psuedo-civs working together for military, and financial gain ;)

Vatican City - isn't it effectively its own "country" of some sorts, altho supported by Italy, it has its own "army" or something like that?

Vatican city is technically an independent state, which sadly will not be included, despite the fact that it has probably had more influence on history than any other 'nation' on the history of the world.
Maybe they could include it as a wonder or something.
