I voted Egypt- although I can see Greece and Siam as my next ones. I like their UU, and they have a nice boost, especially with Civ 5 making wonder-building less swingy (lower base costs, no stone/marble discounts).

Yeah me too and besides in this Civ it apppears Romes is gonna be a beast in warfare in the classical era I think some civs will be smackded druing the classical era so to get the territory for a Science vitory or hell I might go for a doimination victory

COme now - Augustus is a much better leader then Julius. Julius casear only immitated the deeds of the dictators for life Marius and Sulla that came before him - its Augustus that truly created the Roman Empire, and even then he was wise enough to leave it in a state where it was still theoretically a 'republic' - enough so that Romans still bragged well into the age of the Empire that they were the free-est people in the world.

It takes one hell of a leader to do that

Augustus is for me perhaps the best emperor in the history of Rome he not only created the empire but brought it stability and Egypt which was a great conquest also it was during his emperorship that Iberia began to be fully romanized

No Caeser didn't brought Rome control of Egypt though he laid the foundations for that. Rome got control of Egypt after Augustus defeated Marcus Aurelius in a battle can't remeber its name and afterwards of the suiced of both Marcus and Cleopatra the last Pharoah of Egypt

I usually don't like to play as america but their bonus seems kinda nice for growing cities. So it'll like be that or Egypt for wonder building. Arabia is tempting too, as are many, which is good.

Egypt I think is the best civ to get the Utoopia Project and a culturul victory there bonus for wonders spells wonder spam

Actually Marcus Aurelius was emperor in the "late 100s". From 161 AD/CE to 180 AD/CE to be exact.
He is one of my favorite Roman emperors along with Trajan and Hadrian.
