I'll do Africa probably not tomorrow

I voted for:
Navajo
Iroquois
Haida, though Tlinglit or any other PNW would be fine also.
One of the Five Civilized Tribes would be nice but I couldn't decide between them so I picked other for Shawnee

I voted for:
Navajo
Inuit
Haida (or Tlingit)
Other: Texas

This somewhat vindicates my observation that the Inuit are extremely popular among the silent majority. :P

I'm pretty basic here. I only want an Apachean and/or Muscogean civ. Anything outside of that I don't think rises to the level of the Cree/Mapuche/Maori, besides the Sioux and Iroquois which I don't think do much for a game that already has the Cree in it. (for the record, I would have been quite happy with the Sioux as our only North American tribe instead of the Cree, which would have wrapped up North America quite conveniently and not left us wondering why Canada has two civs and we have no tribes in America).

And I wouldn't mind the Inuit. :P

Votes:
Haida - 'Cause, heck, I live in the Pacific Northwest, and we need to be represented by something other than a Spaced Needle.
Haudenosaunee/Iroquois - because they could include a set of Uniques regarding the Three Sisters agriculture system and their peculiar 'Proto-Congressional' council government
Muscogee/Creek - just finished re-reading Okla Hannali by Lafferty, a novel about a Choctaw warrior and one of the funniest book ever written in English: good enough for a reason
Other. Specifically, the Comanche, one of the few Native groups that actually drove the frontier back and reclaimed territory from the Europeans - they retook most of west Texas and moved the boundary back almost 150 miles. Also, they've got two really good books: Empire of the Summer Moon, and Comanche Empire to introduce them to a larger audience.

I voted Iroquois, Haida (though I'd personally prefer the Tlingit), Muskogee/Creek which I took as a stand-in for my real preference, the Choctaw, and Other: Powhatan.

I'm currently writing a paper on Pushmataha and Tecumseh for my master's. I'll have to look into that book when I have time to read for pleasure again. :p

Haudenosaunee, Haida, Muscogee/Creek, Other: Haiti. The Haitian Revolution is an unparalleled event in history, even if the West was able to financially cripple the nation later. Also their culture is so unique!

I'd like to see representation of one civ each from the Northeast, Southeast, Southwest and Northwest, plus one in the Carribean, and some representation of the Mississipian civilization. The Haudensaunee (Iroquois) are probably the strongest candidate for the Northeast, either Cherokee or Creek/Muskogee would work for Southeast, the Ancient Puebloans would be interesting for the Southwest (particularly if they had abilities get extra food and water in desert tiles), and I'm not too picky, but at least one representative civilization from the Pacific Northwest should be included. Taino would be the obvious choice for the Carribean.

I can see Austin being a city state considering they aren't in America's city list and it is Texas's capital.

I wonder what kind of city state they would be tho. In my eyes, they could be either scientific/industrial (Silicon Hills and Austin's tech economy) or cultural (considering their massive music scene, and being The Live Music Capital of the World and all).

Definitely culture keeping Austin weird. :mischief:

The true scientific/industrial city-state would be College Station.
