The game is super fun!! The demo always finishes in the most exciting part. My only problem is I think the graphics could look alot better than they do.

the graphics are the best they've ever been for a Civ game, and they are some of the best I've ever seen with this type of an art style, so I'm not sure how you want them to look better.

i agree the graphics are awesome, although the mounted units in battle looked a little dodgy, what with them gliding around, not actually moving so to speak. :D

I also like the graphics on the ps3 version. Very detailed and there are a lot of things going on all the time.

The only thing I didn't like was that communicating with different civs/barbarians the loading of their avatar was slowish. I would be done selecting the options and their little leaderhead thingy wouldn't be up yet.

interesting, I haven't had that problem yet on my 360...I've had a stutter or two when moving from one screen to the main screen to another screen, but the leaders and avatars have been perfectly animated for me.

There kind of hard on the eyes at first. Just the strategy game transition from Comp. to big screen. After a game or to, it's easy to get used too though.

Maybe the leader showing up is suppose to be later in the convo but I'll already have talked and done some stuff, then the leader will come up then leave because I have already finished the transaction or conversation.

I believe the graphics are pretty good for a strategy game.
Hdtv helps with the graphics since, unlike civ4, higher resolution doesn't increase your viewing area of the map.I guess they decide to keep the viewing area the same on all resolution to keep it more fair for those who playing on SDTV.

I like the graphics, the problem is, it seems too childish. All the characters act like toddlers compare to Civ4. Yeah, over the years, Civ has gotten a little more child friendly, that's fine. But to have it so cartoonish really turns me off. The game doesn't feel like Civ at all. I think I'll just stick with the PC games. Too bad though, I was really looking forward to a console game..

Bitter.

It is just too different from the Civ I know and love. It isn't JUST the graphics. I love the detail in the water and all of the variety in each tile compare to PC, but it isn't set up the same way and nothing feels familiar. It just isn't my cup of tea.

I like the graphic style a lot. It's very detailed and colorful. I think it's a nice evolution from Civ IV in terms of bringing that aesthetic to a console.

It's very cartoonish and have a much lighter tone than Civ IV, but I think it fits the theme of the game. Even Civ IV is much lighter than precious installments in the series.
I wish people would stop making complaints on a game based on THEIR set up at home.
If you have a 40" screen and use that to play Civ Rev but not Civ IV, that's your choice. It has nothing to do with the actual platform.

I'm playing the demo on a 360 hooked up to a 32" Panny Viera, and graphically, the game looks absolutely stunning. I particularly like the scaling, and the fact that people/animals are shown as being tiny compared to the cities. So, for the first time ever (to my knowledge)there are no 60 foot tall humans cluttering up the screen!

As for any framerate/jerkiness problems; I haven't noticed any as yet, but this is the demo running from the hard-drive, and as such, will be optimized to perfection. Whether or not the full game running from the DVD is as smooth, remains to be seen!

i think he means that you can usually skim the message and press close before the leader pops up, after all tis the same message over and over agiain, so you can usually be doen with it before the barbarian goes oog.

I like the graphics. Very colourful and pleasing to see, and I always seem to find something new going on somewhere. :)
