i think going to church every sunday is a prettty quick way to lose your faith.

It depends on how literal you take the bible. Some Christians don't think you should take the bible literally while some do.

The flood story I have gotten that figured out, an exaggerated story from the Epic of Gilgamesh which a Sumerian Boat Captain was caught in a freak storm in the Persian Gulf. Job and the Revelations I have issues with. The Jesus as the apocalyptic prophet is the first time I heard that he was described as that.
