Haven't posted so frequently the last couple of years, but I suppose I am generally regarded as a curmudgeon with outrageous political ideas. Few seem to be aware of my profession. Some people know me as a competent chess player.
What I would like to be remembered as, is that once upon a time when I still was active on the history forum (never go there anymore on principle) I introduced the picture quiz.
Here is my thoughts on some of you. I have excluded those I either dislike or don't know much about. Thinking of it, the second cathegory is by far the greatest...
aimee: Nice young lass with a mostly healthy obsession.
Ajidica: My impression of you as a person is a positive one. please don't take this the wrong way,but few have surprised me more with how much and how little they know.
CivGeneral: Good lad. But needs to mature somewhat.
Cheetah
leasant cove. Only flaw the usual liberal tendency to being snotty.
Cheezy:The single-minded son of the working class (Can't really give a better compliment). In my relative absence, you have been a most worthy keeper of the flame. Also my mentor in the history of the USSR.
Cutlass:Fine fellow, in spite of some weird political perspective.
downtown:Good man, pure and simple.
Dachs: Very nice lad. Have read many history books. Likes to inform us about that fact. Hint: the relevancy of this in relation to the avtual topic debated is not always that great.
Elrohir:My favourite conservative.
Huayna:Gilbert and Sullivan fan. Say no more.
IglooDude:How can such a nice guy have propertarian sympathies?

olite is the middle name. Can't imagine why anybody should dislike you. Just remember that politics are more than numbers.

robably the biggest heart on CFC (But see below). Responsible, caring, enthusiastic. Just stop playing that basted variation in the Sicilian!
RedRalph: A socialist version of Narz with a peculiar interest for international politics. Responsible for about half of the threads on OT, of which actually quite a few are interesting.
Traitorfish:For once, pedant is a compliment. You have lot of other good qualities as well.You're doing famously, but that former Eastern Bloc routine is beginning to be annoying. And I am not sure if Stalinoid is a word, at least it shouldn't be.
