Well, my nick moksliukas means something like "a person who studies too much" in Lithuanian. It's sort of a rough translation of the word "nerd". I used to be a bit like one during my school days, so the nick stuck. However, it doesn't sound as horrible in Lithuanian as nerd sounds in English, and I prefer to translate it as "geek". BTW, most of the games, my tribe is called "Geeks".

cool name moksliukas

i was working with my homepage http://drop.to/c-ain and didn´t have a name for it so i did just write "animepornstar" in the middle with the font "animepornstar". however, the page was never finished because the flash trial period ended, but it´s quiet cool anyway.

My name is quite simple... Brad is loosly traslated as Ruler of all, Destroyer of evil. Fixer of horrible deads. Healer of wounds. Actually, I got a key chain thing, and it means Broad Clearing... but that's just between us... so keep it quiet.

I had recently seen the MrSparkle epidose of the Simpsons when i signed up here. I now use it for all my online gaming, forums and my LAN games too.

I pissed off though when I tried to sign up for daiblo 2 on battle.net and found out Mrsparkle was taken!

What does your nickname stand for?

Xiahou Dun comes from the game/book Romance of the Three Kingdoms.

He served under one of the leading rulers of that time period.

My name is derived from the greatest general known to man, Hannibal Barca. He is my favorite person in history and so I took that name for my alter persona. I came up with Hannibol 1. because other people seem to like the name hannibal and "steal" it from me 2. because hannibal means literally gift from baal. Since i do believe in god just don't call him baal i changed it to hannibol works for me.

Aaaarrrggghhh! Someone asked me a question nearly two months ago and I didn't notice until now. Sorry about that!

And here's a question I've always wanted to ask: Stormerne, how do you pronounce your name? I lazily tend to read it as Stormene (ie: storm-EEN) but phonetically it seems that it should be 'STORM-urn.' The latter doesn't seem to exactly slide off the tongue, no offense.
Phonetically is correct. Laziness will not be tolerated!

Erne - the Middle English word for eagle - is pronounced like urn (rhyming with stern) BUT without the American post-vocalic R. So it's more like an extended schwa plus an N.

The secret, that all my friends and relatives learn fairly quickly, is to split the word like this: Stor-merne. And make sure that you DON'T pronounce either of the post-vocalic Rs (as most Americans would otehrwise naturally do) - just use pure vowel sounds. Then it rolls off the tongue easily.

43 just happens to be my favorite number the one I wore in football and the one I wear for any post athltic sports I play. If you want I could go into the more metaphysical aspects of the numbers 4 and 3, and how they apply to my life but that gets away from the topic.

Which I now understand how people get so high a post count. I was wondering how the counts get so high because I usually only look at the Civ3 forum and the Civ2 discussion forum. But now I see people do alot of posting here.

My handle "thedirk" has a short and non-illustrious history of usage.

The first syllable of my last name is pronounced derk, but not spelled that way. most people mispronounce it as dork.

Thus a friend of mine began to call me "the derk".

And then seeing that I think the dirk is a really cool weapon, and I like to attack with stealth, like an assasin with a dirk, I though it would be an appropriate handle.

This is the former Johan511 - But with a new Face, I have decided to retire my old name in the wake of a new birth - and I want you all to see that new birth in my just pushing aside all of my posts and things that really have no meaning. Some of you will recgonize my new name because is derived from the moive crouching tiger hidden dragon, This movie brought tears to my eyes because in watching it something gave way inside of me, and I was show what steps I must take next on my journey in life. I have all this great energy amd knowledge inside of me - and I have spoken to many great and wise men - but I was never clear on how to focus my energies to bring about what I wanted in reality. As most of you know I was brought up in a christain home, my grandfather was a Baptist preacher, and I was raised in a capalist society, but after reading UG rishnamurti, Alan Watts, J Krishnamurti, and many others I know what awaits me in life and what I must do to change my world, and maybe yours.
I stand before you in testament and with my deepest concern that change is always at hand -- And you may and can do whatever you wish in the realm of life on earth!
