What is Multiculturalism and why it's bad

That's still a bit like asking what part of town someone is from, though. Can be a legitimate enquiry. Might not be.

Admittedly, living in an extremely white part of the UK and being of native stock, I do not need to worry about who is which ethnicity and what percentage thereof they are, but I would hope it wouldn't matter at all these days, especially in a modern Western (European) country.

Aryane Steinkopf also has some Black ancestry, including a mixed-deme father and some mixed grandparents:

Look. Everyone has black ancestry, for goodness sake!

Me, you... everyone.

When I say ancestry I mean recent ancestry.

If you want to discover your deep ancestry then check your haplogroup or something. :p

But I wonder how do you know what pigmentation had early humans?

They originated in North-East Africa, where most people today have brown skin rather than black.

Coal black pigmentation is typical for Equatorial Africa, Congo and neighbouring countries.

There aren't any black people. Just very dark brown ones.

And there aren't any white people either, just very light brown ones.

It's simply a matter of melanin. Which we all have. Unless you're albino. In which case you've got some serious medical complications beyond the colour of your skin.

And, I'm curious, what do you mean by "recent"?

Some are very close to being black, though. Examples:

Jarawa people:

Dinka people:

Much closer to black than any white person is to white. :D

Some are closer to pink or yellow.

What's your point, Domen? You seem to be fixating on this black ancestry thing for no apparent reason.

I reckon some of our posters are descended from Neanderthals.

I've learned recently that the idea of interbreeding between modern humans and Neanderthals has been proved untrue. It may have happened to a limited extent, but apparently no Neanderthal genetic material is extant in the modern genome. If I've understood it correctly.

And, I'm curious, what do you mean by "recent"?

Grandfathers, great-grandfathers. Up to several generations in the past.

I've learned recently that the idea of interbreeding between modern humans and Neanderthals has been proved untrue.

Where have you supposedly learned this? It has been proven true in 2011. Maybe you found a source which is older than 2011?

apparently no genetic material is extant in the modern genome.

There is - at least around 20% of the Neanderthal genome can be found in the modern genome, according to what I've read.

Large part of Neanderthal genes did not survive because they were bred out in selection (apparently those were "bad" genes).

Ildi Silva - you wouldn't guess that she is 71,3% White, would you?:

Well I would... because that's very typical for a Brazilian mulatto!

And that's the point I was trying to make to TC. If a person like she chooses not to identify as black, that's (probably) not because she think being black is shameful, but because she really doesn't consider herself to be black!

Grandfathers, great-grandfathers. Up to several generations in the past.

But again "several" is a very vague term. 100,000 is still several, imo.

Do you have some magic number in mind? Say 2,000 years ago. Beyond which "ancestry" simply doesn't have any effect. And we should ignore it completely?

Indeed, I have no idea of anyone beyond 4 grandparents and two great grandparents.

Beyond those six people, my ancestors could, as far as I'm concerned, be literally anyone from anywhere. Which is exactly why I never claim any ancestry at all.

And even those who claim ancestry back to the Norman Conquest (and there are a few, including the Queen), are only taking into account a tiny fraction of their ancestors in that claim.

If you start digging into your genealogy tree you can easily learn who were all of your great-grandparents.

And perhaps you can easily get to the 1800s but then it gets harder.

And even those who claim ancestry back to the Norman Conquest (and there are a few, including the Queen)

It seems that all royal dynasties are related to each other. Even Polish duke Siemowit I of Mazovia is among ancestors of Elisabeth II.
