Prettiest as in reading it or looking at it (even if you cant read it). What do you think. I would make a poll but I dont know all the languages.

I've always like the look and sound of Spanish

No one likes the sound of the Germanic languages. I wonder why.
edit: except patriots of course

Actually some German accents sound really good. German doesn't look good, in fact it usually looks quite scary, but it can sound good with the right accent.

Those who don't think German can be beautiful should listen to Nena.

Japanese looks quite nice, and sounds beautiful when sung, but normal conversation just sounds like conversation.

in no particular order:

portugese
french
russian
many of the african languages (i will admit ignorance to which ones they are)
arabic

The prettiest language to listen to must be Italian or Spanish, maybe French if it's spoken with a soft accent. But just to look at and read, I guess it must be something like Persian, Tamil or Japanese, or any other "drawing" language.

The language that coined "proteome".

You may think this strange but my favorite languages to listen to are Russian (how could you not love a language with all those glides and palatization), Catalan, and modern Greek.

As to nice writing, I would have to vote for Thai, Georgian (Nuskhuri alphabet), Russian (cyrillic alphabet), and Greek (Katharevousa).

I don't know why one like French as the prettiest language. It sounds too nasally for me, But it is a great language to study and an important one to learn.

I like Spanish, Latin sounds pretty pretty too.
