What is wrong with the Bruins?

That was a great comeback sween.

BTW, is the 32 for Don Sweeney?

P.S. Sammy is gone for the season??!?!?! Are you sure?

Yeah, I'd say the three best assets in the NHL right now are Thornton, Gagne, and Denis.

I still love my Canucks though..4-1 over Detroit! Ha! Beautiful assist by YAO MALIK.

Thornton was unbelievable in that game!

Yes, my screen name is after Don Sweeney. He's my favorite player. He is one of the smallest players in the league, one of the fastest (believe it or not) players in the league), and one of the hardest checkers in the league. Although he's not as good as Bourque, he's been outshadowed by Bourque and always will. Alot of teams want him. The actual players admire him, while because of the whole Bourque thing the fans under rate him.

Yeah, Sammy is gone for the season. Injuries suck.

I fully agree. Also with the Canucks thing too. They are good, and have really been sticking it to the Wings since last season.

That is so four hours ago, *flips hair*

You also got Jeff Jilsson, a 7th string defenseman.. pretty much a throw-in. Boston got the best part of the deal.

I'd say Boston got the better end of the deal, but only if Hackett can perform like a true #1 now that he is a true #1 and if Boston re-signs him in the offseason.

Montreal gets Sundstrom, I wouldn't break out the silver polish over that one. But Hackett's absence just might spark Theodore now that the #1 job is truly his and the weight off the franchise is squarely on his shoulders. They also unload a player making $3.6 million who would have walked away for nothing in the offseason.

San Jose gets McLaren, we'll see. He could anchor the Sharks blue line for the next dozen years, or he could continue down the path he's been on, one littered with injuries. But the Sharks needed a shakeup, and they may not be done dealing yet.

Well, I have loved the sabres for a LONG time. Hasek was my favorite, and i play goalie in my league because of him. then the Sabres made it to the 1999 cup finals and lost on a brett hull foot in the crease. then 3 years later, hasek gets traded to the red wings, and where do I live? Detroit! In my eyes hasek is always a sabre! :D

Not really China444. If they were content with Shields, they wouldnt of traded for Jeff Hacket who is probably better than Steve Shields IMO.

My thoughts and feelings exactly sween.

Hackett now needs some help by defense that is getting injured so he cant get any help. Its just not fair!

What's wrong with the Bruins? It seems to me they never actually go out and play, they just glide around and look like zombies.

Oh yeah.....i just went to a Providence Bruins game on Friday, and guess who started in goal for the other team???? Arturs Irbe!!

He cleared waivers too! Which means no other team in the league wanted him so he was sent down to the minors. He was in the Stanley Cup game last year!!!! Of course, he did horrible... :) the bruins won 6-0 and at one point Irbe let in 4 goals on four shots in the third period. It was great.....

Joe Thornton is the only Bruin.. Glen murray tags along

In other news, how bout Canucks? 13 game undefeated streak, 7 goal game vs columbus!

GO CANUCKS! Favorite western conference team. :)

Nice avatar...

Man, they played AWFUL last night. Hackett was the only one that showed up and they still lost 4-1! Berard seems to be out there and doing nothing else when he's playing. Man, wish some of thos injured defensemen would come back

When you have perrenial backups between the pipes, things cannot go your way. Boston should have resigned Dafoe regardless of what he wanted, and it is hurting both parties right now. People use Dafoe's stats in Atlanta against him, but goalies who hold out or miss training camp due to an injury cannot play at the same level. Before returning to action for Atlanta, Dafoe played in a few college games, but that is simply not good enough, college is nothing like facing an NHL shot.

The Bruins are better off without Dafoe in the long run. He proved how bad he can be in the playoffs last year and that's why they let him go. Boston has to sign a good goalie this summer... not Dafoe, I said a GOOD goalie.
