That trait isn't in yet. There's a reason the Svartalfar is unplayable by default, as of right now they don't have any interesting unique features whatsoever, and won't for a long time. They are not to be added before "Shadow".

That becuz only 18 civs are allowed and too bad there is hardly any units that looks like darkelves.

No, its just because we have to prioritize so some civs get toi go first and others have to wait. Trying to bite off all 21 civs in one stage was a bith must so 5 of them were pushed out.

Specifially why the Svartalfar were pushed out to "Shadow" is because a lot of what we will be adding in "Shadow" meshes well with what we have planned for them.

We want them to be special, more than just new unit art, so we moved them back until we will have time to do them right.

Hmm will there be any playable darkelves or drows in the furture? If so would be nice to adds some unqiues and make em looks like darkelves.

One thing what bother me is should be a secondary world map for underground like in "Test of Time" most of us know that darkelves, demons and other sorta thingy belong underworld.

Is it possible to have a secondary world map?

The Calabim are the most fun so far. But I haven't had a chance to play all civs yet.

Even on normal speed, a game lasts for over eight hours.

Calabims are favorite for most people, but I like flavor of Luchipups (golems, enchanting, again golems...with fireballs) but they still need a bit work. Ljosafars are unmatched with Fellowship religion- health from forests, happines from forest w/ guardian of nature, health from guardian of nature... Other civs are forced to cut forests to get place for improvements but Ljosafars don't. And not getting industry from chop is a fair disadvantage to balance things, and also in flavor of elves. Balanced, and with flavor=> can't be bad.

I voted for the Khazad, but then again I am partial to Dwarves. My D&D characters tend to be dwarves or humans (when I get a chance to take a break from DMing and actually play). My best Everquest character was also a Dwarven Cleric (65th level when I stopped playing last year).

As you can see, my choice really has very little to do with the Civs options in FFHII, as I really haven't had the opportunity to play all of them yet. The only game I have completed so far in .11c was with the Khazad, though I have played the elves in .11b, and am planning to try out the pirates in my next game.

Oh crap, i hated those midgets <spit> :vomit:

Embers.

Reasons? Barb Trait. I love scorched earth. Can build Worgs without stables or horses, so the early pillage rush after conquest can eliminate any nearby rivals. Also, getting to writing early allows you to build the great library without having to build a library first (because the Embers cant build them) Im sure this is an exploit. Still, its rp fun to play the Orcish Horde. A throwback to the days of Warcraft before it became polluted by mmporg'ers

Couldn't decide on one, so I voted three (main criterium strength):

Ljosalfar: First civ I played and every builder's dream. Ancient forests with towns on them, need I say more? Raider promotion is very nice too.

Calabim: Vampires are ***ing strong - especially Losha Valas. Their main advantage is that they gain much more experience than adepts, which means that a stack of three vampires can operate single-handedly, summoning combat 4 skeletons to weaken the defense and then finishing the enemies off.

Malakim: I destroyed an entire civ with only Chalid Astrakein and Valin Phanuel. Chalid's Host of the Einherjar spell gave me units that were a good match for the enemy's defenders. Combined with combat 4 (Chalid's promotions), I could give them commando and march after their first battle, making them mobile (and regenerative) enough to kill several units before their death.

Ljosalfar is good cause the leaders have spiritual the most of them but sadly i dont like(???)so much UU's... ;)
And i took out all of te barbarians towns with only Gilden Silveric :)

The Kuriotates are definitely my favorite civilization. There are two reasons - the first is that that they are challenging to play against some of the other civs that have some pretty big advanages. I like playing the underdog.

The second is that they have an interesting back story. I usually try to play them with just the cult of dragon (seems appropriate given their backstory and civ hero). I end up taking a big hit not having religion bonuses and so have to scramble to get luxuries. Eurabatres makes up for it though. I saw some discussion about differentiating the Kuriotates a bit - I think that will make them even more interesting. Something to help balance out the cult a bit more would help - maybe some sort of unique dragon priest unit that can only be built in cities with cult of the dragon.

Well... I first fell in love with the Hippus, those raiders rule... but I didn't want to choose just one civ because I love the differences in the civs, so I chose The order of blood (c'mon they are vampires... doesn't get much better than that) and the elves... building elven huts in those ancient woods is way too cool... and can't be done by any other civ...

My favorite race in the game is the elves. And becaues i like to see the other civs crumble under my mighty culture i become the less violent Ljosalfar (Good Elves :) ). To make it even better (because i like the spells) I pick thesse as the leader that i play. She's both Arcane and Summoner (characteristics) so i can go and purge my enemies (dark elves) from the planet with my mighty mages and summoners

Mwahhahahaahahahah (*Diabolic Laughter*) - *Clears throught* Excuse me Got a bit excited there. :D

Though I haven't played with too many civs (too addicted to marathon games . . .) I've loved all the ones I've played with so far. I chose Ljosalfar and Khazad, though - the flavour given to these two races is wonderful and I can't wait for more. I'm itching to try out that sprawling trait, though . . . I guess Kuriotates will be next.

In my last game (as thessa) i built a large and prosperous elven nation. My Mages and Summoners (and driuds) were all of the top lvl arcan units. My neigbors (cant remember the civ) were the ones with the octapus overlord. I thought to myself "Look at them over worshiping their silly octapus'. HA!" So a grabed the nearest archmage and went on a crusade to pergue the land of the pagan fools.:)
I had my mage come up to the city and i use the tsunami spell to destroy the land between me and the city and then the city it's self.

It was quite pleasing and when i was done (and in controll of most of his/her cities) i settled down and grabbed the neares fruit from the bountyfull about of trees and looked upon my glorous achievments:D

So you see. Under my sugary coding as peacefull deplopacy there's a evil core just using my underlings to minipulat my world and the people in it.

tasty.

I like to play a varyty (excuse wrong spelling) of civs now i fell in love with infernal unfurtanaly its a minor civ cause their reallly cool cant wait til that!

I loved the Ljosalfar before (Alechaiamreasmcichim something), but Calabim and the Vampirism makes for so much fun gameplay. Omg, I love it.
