What is your occupation?

I am in college, plan to be a History Teacher.

Right now I work in a 21st century factory (call center). I activate phones for Qwest Wireless.

I am currently a Research Assisatant (means I get paid for my Ph.D. work) at one of the most prestigious (yes, we were great once, but today they take the likes of me  ) Institutes for Geology and Paleontology in the world. I am a vertebrate paleontologist, specializing in computer modelling of dinsoaur locomotion.

I'm a Landscape Architect. I work primarily as a consultant to developers. I do land planning for residential developments, town centers, mixed use commercial/residential, and resort planning. I also design courtyards and gardens for urban infill projects, develop the "streetscape" (planting, paving, signage and furniture) for new or renovated downtowns, and design destination spots from ski-resorts in West Virginia to Eco-Parks in China. I love my job.

(CarlosMM, I like your job too - computer modeling dinosaurs sounds like the most glamorous job you can get as a palentologist)

Right now? Absolutely nothing.

As for the future, I resume being a student (albeit now at a slightly higher level) this September. Double majoring in Linguistics and Political Science.

Yes, it is state of the art, and only a handful of people do it worldwide. Having no clue about computers and the math behind the modelling makes it hard, but it is a lot of FUN!

Currently I patch holes in peoples heads and, occasionally, other body parts as well. Business is good.......too good.

Let me see, I have a Bachelors degree in Chemistry and Biology. Over the years, I have pumped gas, provided janitorial services, processed registered mail, maintained nuclear weapons, and for the last 20+ years, been a professional computer geek.

I currently work as a contractor for DoD, writing programs and providing Software Configuration Management for "Strategic Planners".

not doing anything since i left college, while i was their i studied networking stuff too hard for me, i only passed by saving other peoples work into floppy disk then rewording it.
but i want to get some sort of laboring job like my dad

Military - Infantry. I'll probably get an OT (occupational transfer) to another trade within a few years though. Hopefully intelligence, maybe something else that's not as cool or interesting as that.

Electrical&Electronic Engineering student.

I'm retired Navy. I was an Electronics Warfare Technician (EW) then became a Cryptologic Technician (Technical) or CTT when they merged. I could tell you what I did, but then I'd have to shoot someone:)

Lecturer in Physics and Computing.
