I think so. I think I thought I saw him cry.

Common Sense or Normal Healthly mindedness.

ie pagan, western cultured, humanist

Monotheistic, but otherwise agnostic. The only things I claim to know about God are that he exists, and there's only one. Too much harmony in Creation(the disharmony all somes from man when you examine it) for any other option.

I guess I could say devoted Christian Protestant, conservative.

Yes, I chose the conservative option, although I'd like to know a bit more about the choices.

Monotheistic, but otherwise agnostic.
Agnostic means that you don't know if God exists or not. You clearly believe that God does exist and so are not agnostic.

As for me I am probably athesist/humanist, however if I did believe in a higher power I would be deist.

Read the whole post dumb-a$$. Did you note the part about otherwise?

Just can't pass up a cheap shot, can you? Leave it in the threads where we're at odds, will you?

And BTW- Agnostics merely claim not to know anything substantive ABOUT god. They ARE deists, one way or another.

Lutheran-Missouri Synod (Becoming more-so with each national conferance of the Evangelical Church of America)

I like the traditional reverant worship, and the bible based focus for answering thological questions.

As for Conservative/Moderate/Liberal, I would like to hear the pollster's definition too.

I think conservative means more in line with the evangelical movement, with the belief you need to be born-again, and willingness to push public morality in politics.

I think liberal means being more in line with the unversalists who say there is more than one path to heaven, and more willing to accept the sanctioning of homo-sexual marriage.

I think moderate means more in line with the mainstream of Protestant faiths

Then again it could be if you perfer "A Mighty Fortress" to "Jesus Freak" to "God's Song"!

Hard to believe. As an (almost) maths physicist it's hard to ignore the possibilities.

Anyway raised by one parent as catholic. The other parent was distrustful of the church after the way it ponsed about locally. But since I was 12 have had no connection with the church.

I believe their's a more powerful consiance, but don't know what it is, whether it knows we exist, whether it knows this universe exist, whether there's an afterlife (I'm holding out that there is), division of heaven and hell and purgotory, etc...

Definition of an agnostic.
•One who believes that it is impossible to know whether there is a God.
•One who is skeptical about the existence of God but does not profess true atheism.

I will quote you some of your post, "The only things I claim to know about God are that he exists, and there's only one." How can you say that and then claim that otherwise you would be an agnostic?
Just can't pass up a cheap shot, can you?
Depends how cheap.

Then why aren't celebrities a choice?

You got it exactly right. I couldn't have said it better. There are FAR to many Protestant denominations to possibly list, so I lumped them together by general outlook.

As I understood the term, agnosticism was the belief that it was impossible to know anything about the nature of God, but still implied a belif in that god or gods existence(s). By that definition, my statement is internally consistent, and I stand by it.

Fearless2, forever the epitome of freindship...

Please keep the arguments out of this...
This proves that some people are always ready to clash over their faiths...

Tsk tsk!
