How have I gone my whole life without hearing Bettye Swann until this weekend? :love:

"Then You Can Tell Me Goodbye" (1969) was in the soundtrack for Lady in the Lake (2024). "(My Heart Is) Closed for the Season" is also great. The whole album's great - Don't You Ever Get Tired (Of Hurting Me).

The only reason I'd be in NOLA is to see a CF show live.

This video is still on YT after 18 years. It's old enough to get drafted and shot in one of DC's many useless wars.

South African thumpers Die Antwoord;

Nsfw I guess?

Spoiler :

Is that promotion for russian fascism RE?

I don't think so. Pelageya is a folk singer and "Horse" is a popular song. Though given the state of Russia these days, who knows if they're pulling an Erika.

Speaking of: Good Ending where Moustache Man stays an artist and "Erika" is accordioned in every market square:

Bebel Gilberto - Bebel Gilberto

This music makes me think of Japan, surprisingly enough, and not Brazil.. but I come back to bossa nova every once and again, and I really dig this whole album. The remix album is also sort of classic. Lisa Ono is also fun to listen to
