What music do you hate?

Ahahahahahahaaaa... now it all makes sense!! It was random swearing, and it was directed to a certain, very famous, "manele" singer.

^ Nope. Those are taken from other themes (first is from the soundtrack of a very popular Indian movie, for example). Those are not manele, so they are much better than the norm. They are just "manelized" themes. You have to listen to a really pure manele song, preferable played as they play it here, at maximum volume, to understand.

;) And keep in mind you really have no idea what the lyrics mean!

You know, that is the only work of music I have ever seen always identified with its creator. I mean, no one ever just says 4'33", do they?
They do, I don't.

i detest...

- rap
- most of rock/metal/other-related-genres made after the mid 70s.
- hip-hop

yup.

Pop music, any music you hear on mainstream radio, rap, punk, metal and country. I don't know if hate is a strong enough word. Loathe more or less expresses how I feel about the above music.

^agreed! Except for country. Some of it is bad, but some of it I find... good.

The only genre I truly dislike is gangsta rap, and that's really more of a subgenre. I listen to a wide variety of music, and I can tolerate what little I don't listen to on a regular basis.

Hoo kares about the music, whey you can have such background dancers ;) :p

The girl in the stands in the tight black skirt is pretty damn hot too. The musik isn't that bad.

And I so want that piano/guitar thingy.

You know after thinking about it, I agree. I really like some forms of Blue Grass which admittedly isn't exactly country, and if it's country with no singing and a good slide guitar, then I can enjoy it. The voices and topics they sing about can be pretty grating sometimes... to me at least.

Some of the singing is okay, but sometimes it isn't. Blues is nice though, gives me a nostalgic feeling of the old America every time i hear it, same with some kinds of country.

USELESS WITHOUT A LINK! :)

;) And keep in mind you really have no idea what the lyrics mean!

Lyrics are generally overrated for me. As long as you sing well and harmoniously, you'll be fine in my book.
I mean, the Beatles... crappiest lyrics ever.

Sing well and harmoniously? That's not exactly the best characteristic of these people. :p

Link coming tomorrow, I don't feel like searching for this music at midnight. Maybe I'll have nightmares. :p

Again, it's from a Bollywood movie. Can't believe you've never heard it before. :)

I've yet to find a rap song I like, and dislike almost all opera (but not other classical). Most other types of "popular" music I dislike the majority of songs from, but there are enough counterexamples that I can't say I dislike the entire genre. The rather general categories of country, classical, and rock are probably the ones I like most.

Edit: Forgot to mention absolutely no screamo/yell-o/squel-o. That's the one type rap would be better than. Scremo is just torture on the ears.

Slightly "emo" rock can be OK, and can catch a mood excellently when I'm feeling a bit down.

Country where the singer sings about his damn dog, the hip-hop people hear on the radio, and sappy 20ish boys playing their guitar and talking about how happy they and their girlfriend would be.

MTV....that about sums it up, all this gay cock rock thats on there now days, where have all the manly rock bands gone? You know things are going downhill when bands like Nickelback are big...and even more downhill when people like Santana stoop to there level and do songs with them.

The screaming I dont mind so long as its good, but yes, I think pretty much everything thats on MTV is what I dont like.

I don't like 99% of rap, and 95% of R&B.
