Don't think I've had any of the dreams in the poll. The closest I can think of is one when I was able to run really fast(my legs and body moved like in slow motion but I travelled really fast). In that same dream I could jump really far, like across town.
In another one I was in my apartment at gunpoint by some guys. That was kind of scary since I was somewhat awake (it was in the morning) and I kept waking up and falling asleep over and over again. So it was somewhat hard to tell the difference between dream and reality. For every "restart" of the dream it got worse. First they just came in and threatened me, then they started stealing my stuff and in one iteration a whole bunch of people came in and cleaned out my fridge while the three original guys still threatened me with a gun. When they finally drove a van in through the wall I decided it was time to get out of bed.
And for "the one" I don't remember much of it other than that it took place in an elevator in an office building and that it was annoying to clean up when I woke up.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that happens too. The same thing happend ot me only involved gay rapists breaking into my dorm room. Yeah I know....

I suppose you could compare it to the not-going-to-class one, but I've had one where I've tried to go to a class I signed up for and ended up at an elementary school, realizing I couldn't walk into any of the rooms and sit in and learn...

If you can dream and not make dreams your master...

One of my favorite poems.

Falling down - plenty of times
All my teeth fell out - several times. Last time i had this one, a few days later i found out i had a tooth cavity. Coincidence ? Maybe. :p
Chased by somebody - often enough
Had the power to fly - more like floating, levitating, walking through the air plenty of times
Shot and killed - a few times. Got killed in different ways tho.
Anyone notice that its hard to really run fast, or hit anyone hard enough in your dreams? Its always frustrating when I'm hitting someone and the blows feel like their being cushioned and I can't hit them fast enough. I hate that.
Yea, that's really annoying. But eventually i started dreaming of stabbing people instead of punching them and the problem was solved. :D (this was a while ago tho - now i dream of hugging people :p )

Anyway - do these recuring dreams have a meaning ?

IMHO some of my dreams can be easly explained by "states" of the body. The teeth thing - i have very bad teeth and had numerous cavities and unexplained infections. Drowning or geting chocked to death - i had/have problems breathing.
Unless anyone has a better opinion. :)

I once had a dream where I was eating a huge marshmallow...

Let me guess, you were coughing up feathers all the next day.

Falling and then waking up before you hit the ground always sucks. The weirdest way I have died in my dream was that I went to sleep in my dream and then got killed in that dream Freddy Kruger stile causing me to die in my dream in my dream.

No, thankfully, I've never had that dream yet, although puberty is annoying. My most common one is like a loony tunes thing, where I'm being chased by someone with a huge hammer thingy, and in the end they catch up and smash me flat, then I supersize and turn into a ball, and begin rolling towards them while they continuously try to bash me away and run at the same time. But nowadays I don't get dreams anymore.

:wavey: hello.

I'm surprised that dreams could be so stereotypical, I've had these a couple of times:
  • teeth falling out (usually whan I have problems with my teeth)
  • punching somebody without hurting him.
  • not being able to run, just walking slowly, feeling a bit like walking in water. I usually solve this by running on all four and then it goes very fast. Perhaps this happens when the legs get stuck in the sheet...
I also occasionally have "hero" dreams, where I save somebody's life or meet several crooks and win a fight against all of them.

Falling down

Quite common when I was a kid (usually falling off my bike).

At school/presentation, in underwear/naked

Check.

Failed a test

Nope.

All my teeth fell out

Some or all. (usually a few would be loose)

Chased by somebody

Or some*thing*. :scared:

Had the power to fly

Yep, mainly swimming through the air, moving freely, and swimming underwater and being able to breathe underwater.

Parents/family went somewhere but forgot me

Nope.

Signed up for a class that I forgot to go to

One of my common post-college dreams.

Shot and killed

Not always in that fashion.

Here's another one - falling in a toilet (usually means I really, really have to go...).

Last night i had a dream an alien xenomorph chased me. And i kept dying and the dream would restart itself. Aparently dying couldn't wake me up this time. :( After trying lots of alternatives and doing lots of stuff (like repairing something) i decided to shoot myself and splatering blood & brains over the alien.

And that was a good idea - since i woke up when i did that. Crappy dream. :(

Cheiftess, the falling down dream is the one where you're infinitely falling from the sky, then wake up either when you hit the ground or about two seconds prior.

Well, the poll wasn't specific enough. :p
