What was your first game?

My first video game was the Toy Story game, when I was about 6. I played it and played it, though I was never really good at it. 4 years later, I bought Axis and Allies, the 3d rts version, which was my first strategy game and then Civ 3, which was my first good strategy game.

At teen age I played on c64
Mostly liked SSI RPGs like Buck Rogers or Forgotten Realms serie, Defender of the Crown or 7 Cities of Gold and more, Elite, Ultima, Bards Tale......
first games were boulder Dash and Ghostbusters on it

Sonikku za Hejjihogu.

Sonic the Hedgehog if you could not tell.

He came out one year before I was born. Emphasis on came out, rawr

We were made for eachother.

First game that I played extensively was AoE2.

First computer game I ever played would've been around the age of 5, so I can't remember what it was.

AoE2 was first for me too, although I'm a lot older. For its time, it was a great game. I prefer turn-based now, but AoE2 was the best. I actually liked it better than AoE3 or Age of Mythology.

I don't know, possibly Commander Keen or an adventure game called Shadowgate.

Red Alert II

:goodjob: That was my first real computer game, if I recall right... I found the disc one day while looking through my brother's collection of games... and... well, I popped it in.

And thennn...

 "...Wh... what is this?"

I couldn't stop. It was too awesome. From that day onward, I became a CnC - or Red Alert, rather - fan.

My first srs computer game was either Diablo 1 or Warcraft 1 or Age of Empires 1.
By srs i mean not Mortal Kombat, Alladin, Lion King, driving games etc.

I played stuff on consoles way before that tho.

One of the first games I bought was Lego Creator Knight's Kingdom. I think I had other educational games, but this was my first real game, probably. It had really bad graphics, average gameplay, and it glitched up alot, but I thought it was fun.

Some nameless Atari 2600 console game, when it was called the VCS. Maybe it was Pong?

I do remember these games vividly:

Amstrad gfx appear refined next to that! :D

I even had a painting program in amstrad.

It did kick Pong's buttocks at the time though.

Air-Sea battle was actually kind of fun, but Atari games didn't age well at all. I can still play Lady Bug on coleco and such, but Atari seems to be the cut-off for me. Older than that is... Important in game history, but you can't go back to these for anything other than curiosity.

Go ladybug go!

It was like Pacman, except more interesting, with gates you could turn around and block pathways.

Most likely something on the NES or SNES, though in knowing my family it could have easily been something earlier or even an arcade game.

The first games I remember playing Are TMNT games for the NES and SNES, Super Mario 3, and Super Battleship for the SNES, which I still think was a pretty good game design.

My first game (video) was probably space invaders in the arcade at the local bowling alley--circa late 1970s. After that was the Atari 2600 versions of space invaders, missle command, asteroids, etc.. My first true computer game was Civilization I on a 486. I was rather late catching onto the computer revolution so 486 was basically my introduction to computers. Computers are just a fad anyway. They'll never catch on. :D

Yeah. I still play RA2 from time to time. Didn't really got into RA3 much though. Maybe because I think it looks too artificial.

I got all you young punks beat! Try a Tandy Trs-80 circa 1981... of course this is a "PC" at the time.

Link to video.

Rod Carew Baseball (arcade game at Rehobeth Beach/boardwalk in Delaware). I was 3, so my dad had to lift me up to use the controls.

For my first real game, either something on the TRS-80 when I was 5, or the Atari (my mom's friend's kid had one) around when I was 3 or 4.
